He;s been doing it for awhile now. The last 6 months or so stakers have been complaining about getting hacked. He hit multiple odds stakers. Several have been refunded Pie, matt, george (45b guy) and a few others. I think Aidan as well.

 

Is anyone really surprised? The conflict of interest is clear as day.

 

to me the bigger worry was the clear lack of oversight and making sure people werent using their powers for wrong doing. He wasnt just hacking accounts, he was leaking dmm info, leaking ips, potientially helping dox people, helping hack people, for all we know he unbanned rich banned players and took all their shit too, also the name taking, its all just so much and jagex never noticed.

Truthfully my biggest worry by far was if he was unbanning accounts with super high wealths and moving items off them, im sure he could have moved trills off high value banned accounts and virtually unnoticed as no one would be checking those accounts likely

 

I wouldnt be shocked if he was also behind the hacking of wilson magna for over 50b over a year ago. He has long claimed he was hacked and his account was unbanned from an rwt ban. He could have been one of the first victims.

 

I agree that powers used to get such information should be logged and checked systematically to avoid this sort of problem.

 

My biggest worry is the fact they took so long to discover this, then finding out It's not small change but a whole lot of it. The situation is unacceptable, I hope all those affected get their money back. If Jagex actually sort their shit out then I'll be happy, if it happens again then It's ruining the game integrity.

 

this has happened multiple times to some extent, just dont think the past ones were quite as public, i believe reach or another mod was caught helping with the corp bug or something

 

He WILL be prosecuted. The integrity of the entire company depends on it tbh. They won’t let other mods think they can get away with the same thing, it’s a part of business. If it was a mod banning somebody just because they didn’t like them, the person would get unbanned and they’d get fired, but not prosecuted. This is an entirely different situation where they’re a huge name in the online gaming industry and the livelihood of the company as a whole (not just 07) depends on the prosecution of it.

He’s a loser that had a super cushy job, I’m sure he was paid very very well to begin with, and it wasn’t enough. Tons of honest people would love to have a job there, regardless of what anyone’s heard of working conditions. He’s just a fuck up that fucked up and will probably end up serving time over trying to impress his clan members.

 

Working at jagex isn't some "top of the line" stuff... But, compared to most jobs its definitely decent. You can work there and live comfortably for the rest of your life. You won't live like a king but you'll be fine. Mod jed messed up big time.

 

Yeah that’s all I was saying. Was replying to the ones that are asking if he will actually be prosecuted. They’re not just friends hanging out there, it’s a business that employed the guy.

But yeah that’s not what I meant. It’s not the best job but there are definitely people out there that see it as a dream job.
