Question Regarding Name Changes

Let's say I was in a raid group with randoms and I get a tbow drop in my name, expecting to split. To avoid getting put on a third party scammer database or something of the sort, would it be viable to have a couple bonds in my bank at the ready to rapid name change while telling them I'm selling it to split? That way my original name wouldn't be on the "recently changed from" mouseover? Just would rather not have that tied to me if I need to find groups for something in the future.

 

Group expecting to split that is, this is assuming I have the intent on just running with the bow.

 

There's a sticky at the top of the board dedicated to finding partners to lure people, how is asking if quickly changing names multiple times to avoid being put in a 3rd party database any more outlandish than that? I don't think it's asking how to scam either, it's asking if changing name multiple times quickly is enough to avoid being tracked.

 

Is describing it in this way not sugarcoating that it is also scamming? Is luring not tricking people into giving you their things unknowingly, whether it be through taking them to wild or seed pod or w/e? If they didn't expect some sort of benefit from it without losing their stuff, then why would they go through with it? Is tricking people, lying to them to make them give you their stuff in one way or another not as morally reprehensible as lying about splitting a drop?

 

Furthermore, the question boils down to "is changing my name with bonds multiple times quickly enough to avoid being tracked by anyone". I could have posted any sort of scenario, even something like someone harassing me, and it wouldn't make a difference as to the question, so I still wouldn't say I'm asking *HOW* to scam nor does the question asked only pertain to that topic. It could be applied to it obviously, but in essence is more general.
