in the vouch section there's "replies word" somewhere in top right corner above all threads, click it it'll sort threads from the biggest to the smallest

 

This is speculation and is exactly why it is impossible to enforce a rule on this. I had over 1700 PA reviews. Ever think that some of my customers vouch on my sales thread because that is the link they seen in my skype profile? You are assuming that I had direct communication with all of my PA customers -- that's an ignorant assumption and is simply not true. Anyone who has sold on PA knows for a lot of trades you might not even speak a word to your customer, yet they have you added on skype and are perfectly capable of clicking the sales link in your profile after a transaction to vouch -- even though you have not spoken a word to them the entire time. I'm not saying I never purposely got customers to vouch bump my threads (I did), but a lot of the vouches in my sales thread (especially from my PA customers) were genuinely out of my control.

 

Is that the only reason you're opposed to this then? I agree that it is impossible to control what your customers are doing, nor should you have to worry about trying to do so. If bumps were restricted to the bump button instead of posts, it wouldn't matter where the vouch was posted as long as it was in a thread related to the trade. If anything, sellers should encourage the vouches to be IN the thread, that way it can continue to grow, gain viewcount and positive reviews to make the thread more appealing than others. This would automate the 8 hour bump rule and decrease the amount of reports the staff have to deal with.

 

It's equivalent to me setting my autobumper to post every hour....

You aren't supposed to deal with PA customers outside of PA so them adding your skype is unlikely, unless you have snuck it in there.

Yes you do barely speak a word as PA connetc person A with B through their system. I also have a large player auctions account so am very familiar with the trading system.

Yes sometimes people will post without being prompted, HOWEVER anybody with a normal IQ score will know that this occurs less often, regardless of whether it is onsite/offsite traffic.

To steer back away from this tanjent and back on topic, it cannot be contested that merchants are purposely having their topics bmped with vouches every few minutes, and are now resorting to buying vouches with "1m bonuses" etc.

 

How does setting your bumper to post every hour equal to gathering legitimate vouches? Btw, very nice to witness your ability to respond to honest questions!

 

Vouches posted every hour keep thread topic on first page while burying most other merchant's topics.

Yes technically "all people can do this" blah blah blah. However some will never get the opportunity as the examples shown in OP are scheduling their "vouches" to bump their topic and keep it at the top constantly.

Again to sway this back on track, YES vouches are fine. YES vouches are great. YES everybody has the right to leave a vouch. BUT... NO vouches are not bumps. vouches SHOULD NOT be considered free bumps. Vouches SHOULD NOT be scheduled for personal gain.

If vouches didn't bump then YES vouches would be great on gold topics or in the proper designated place on the vouch forum.

 

You keep referring to scheduled bumps; however most traders like myself do conduct multiples trades daily - all this suggestion is looking to do is penalise the active traders; and benefit the large gold shops that don't want to refer their customers to sythe to leave feedback in fear they may lose their customers to a competitor? Oh and the little guys you keep referring to that need help also!

 

That's purely speculation and believe me I don't fear my offsite switching to a competitor.

However it is a point of view I won't try to suppress. I do not force my customers to buy from me forever so it's up to them if they want to switch to a competitor.

 

Personally I don't really care because I don't trade anymore but I am just talking as if I was still in the market (I would have cared back then lol). Yes you are right about getting view count, that is another big reason we want to get posts in the thread. Threads with a lot of posts stand out more to a new customer. Having a big appearance definitely helps attract customers (view count and post count). For my first trade ever on Sythe I based the legitimately of a seller based on their post count, whether that was naive or not.

I don't know if a lot of people are forgetting but years ago I think Sythe did try to enforce a rule to prevent vouch bumps. It just didn't work. Experienced sellers will always find loopholes. A market is something that is really hard to micromanage.

 

it was order forms / vouch for bonus added to the sale and it was implemenented. Noone can offer any bonuses for vouches/order forms etc.

Yeah it was you cant promise / offer any deals for order forms / vouches. People like Bogla found way around it they're giving bonus for registering on Sythe (but they offer bonus for posting on thread so it's fine) however since customers are already registered they dont mind after getting that bonus to post on thread after trade.

 

I support this, to me it is logical that the vouch forum is for vouches. Extra bumps should not be given in addition to receiving vouch at the same time.

 

When was this? I am talking about maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I thought there was a rule specifically for vouch bumps. Maybe I just have an incredibly bad memory lol.
