I'm new at Graphics

Hello, I was interested in learning to make graphics like sigs and such. I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and GIMP 2.4.5 but no knowledge on how to use either. If someone could point me in the direction of a couple in-depth tutorials on making sigs/using Photoshop and GIMP. Also any useful advice would be helpful.Thanks

 

dang trying to make a sig but i cant upload it says invalid file?
its just random to show you how good i am its a .xcf

 

Save it in .png format. I've never even heard for .xcf.

 

Go on Google, look up "Photoshop 7 Tutorials" and follow beginners' tutorials.

When you save a file, try using "Save as" and change the format to .PNG or .GIF or .JPEG (Png = good quality, JPEG = ok quality, smaller in size)

The tutorials might be boring at first, but they are of great help.

 

Don't use .xcf - Use .png as it's a universally recognized file format and also it's high quality.

 

The pack of 200+ tutorials that is stickied is quite good for learning. Check it out.

how do i make a render smaller? like right after i download.

 

Ehh.. you just put a gradient on a background and pasted the render, and added your name.. >_> USE THE MOTHAFUCKIN TUTS ON THE MOTHAFUCKIN SITE

 

Paste the render, hit CTRL-T, hold down the SHIFT button, resize.

 

I think im missing something what else can you do?(not supposed to be sarcastic or rude)

 

To edit the size, just click Edit and free transform

Resize it, copy that, then paste it in a 350 x 150 or something..
