Tibet and China

Do you think China has the right to treat Tibetians the way they are right now? Do you support or disapprove of the protests along the Olympic Torches route.

China is a huge asian communist shit hole full of disease and goldfarmers. Historically speaking or not, they have no right to "re-claim" a country that became independant. Just shows how communism and power eat people.

 

Why would China have any rights to Tibet? On what moral grounds can they legitimately claim that their brutal occupation is justified?

 

IMO, China is almost like the western countries... except it's a couple decades behind. Remember the Scramble for Africa? Or how about the US's annexation of Hawaii? Right now it seems to be going through it's "Imperialistic" stage, and hopefully that stage will pass soon enough.
Of course, I don't know much about Tibet so I can't say this with too much certainty, but that's my 2 cents. xD

 

i think the way china treats tibet is inhuman. I seriously think the United Nations should take action against China.

 

China is being really selfish. They want all of the "parts of the old china" put back together, so they claim Tibet, even though, Tibet was never part of China. This is a stupid reason, and as Darren said, why would they have any rights? It is just like Israel and Palestine.

Europe and Africa, Britain and India are not even close to the same situation. What a country wants is not the same as what it has forced and done. Hawaii, had no problem of uniting with the United States. But Tiber, however, is against it. It's pretty gay situation. And again, China, has absolutely no reason to claim Tibet.

 

Oh, you're right. I forgot, the Europe and Africa was far worse. During the scramble for Africa, the natives were treated worse than the Tibetans. Seriously, there were many cases like the extermination of the Namqua and Hereo (when the Germans got South-West Africa and killed 75000 natives [approx 50% of their population] in 3 years).

Also, If British occupation of India wasn't that bad, Gandhi would never have gotten the attention he did.

 

They weren't claiming it as their own in the same way as China. They still let India be India, they just didn't let them have any rights. The Salt March was for this reason, but no one thinks about Tibet the same way.. The U.S. gets all of their manufactured parts put together in China, but Tibet doesn't. U.S. needs China, so they will listen to them over Tibet.

 

It doesn't really matter what you "claim". What you DO is what really matters. And like you stated, the Indians didn't have any rights, and the Africans, well, had even less. If China just said 'Tibet is mine" and sat on it's ass doing nothing, no one would care. It's the fact that they're mistreating the people in Tibet that's getting all the other countries riled up. The reason no one thinks about Tibet the same way is purely due to the date. When Britain was in control of India, the mindset of people back then was much different than it is now.

 

I think you are mis-understanding me to be on China's side.. I am against this 100%. But Tibet is in a worse situation because they're not even a country. And Europe and Africa were a terrible situation.. Slavery, Stealing Diamonds (Still going on; Blood Diamonds), etc.

 

No I know you're against China and Tibet, but I'm basically saying that what China's doing IS bad, but other countries have done similar and worse things as well. Tibet IS NOT a worse situation.
Also, many of the colonies Africa weren't countries back then either.

 

Why would China try to control what is not theirs same with Turkey and Armenia Gharbagh belongs to Armenians.

 

Tibet has been part of China for over 700 years =/

You're right. I'm sick and tired of these activist always wanting to go, "SAVE" some another country. Looking from a political point of view, the United States is in a huge debt due to the Iraq war, and you want to go fucking help another country? For one; these other countries aren't going to pay the, United states back. Sure..They'll be great full to the United States, but everyone will go on living in the United States, in a worse economic state than we are now.

Not to mention..You want to fuck with China? Are you fucking serious? At this point of time we're in no situation to be messing with anybody. We need to hurry up, finish with the Iraq war, and focus on America. Places like Darfur Suddan and Tibet have no meaning to the United States. Just like Rwanda in 1993, the United States/UN isn't going to do shit. Here's a famous line from three generals captured on camera when the Tootsies and the Hutus were fighting (I'm not racist in anyway, shape, or form) "The west doesn't give a rat's ass about you guys. Instead of spending money on these poor-useless countries, let's spend our money on the millions of poor people starving, and dieing each year.
