Donation via user center

    Hey

    When I try to purchase 20 USD by the User Center, I get the message that my payment could not be completed and have to return to the donation page.

    My account is linked to both my bank and credit card though. Anyone has an idea as to why this could be happening?

    Is this in regards to donating via PayPal through the website? Because I have the same issue when updating my bond. Will link this to @Matthew.

    I have literally 0 control over the PayPal buttons. They're provided by PayPal and take you directly to PayPal's site. When I click the user button and the bond button, they both work. The only guidance I can give is to clear your cache/cookies or possibly try another browser.... If the issue persists, I can try contacting them but PayPal is more or less useless when it comes to tech support.

    Thanks for getting back to this.

    The buttons indeed work fine, just the way as you are able to click them, I am able to click them aswell.

    Sadly the error message happens later. I'll tell you the steps and where the issue lies (just in case it would be something that's not PayPal related and you could fix):

    1. User donation center
    2. Click the donate button
    3. Use PayPal checkout to provide the amount I'm wanting to donate
    4. Click continue
    5. Log in with my PayPal to finalize the payment
    6. The following error message appears:

    Uw aankoop kan op dit moment helaas niet worden voltooid = Your purchase couldn't be completed at this time
    Ga terug naar de webwinkel en kies een andere betaalmethode = Return to the webstore and choose a different payment method

    Same issue here if I want to load up my bondholder bond. Also happens on different browsers.

    @Matthew could you check if it's not something wrong on Sythe's end?

    The problem is still persisting, despite having tried your suggestions. I wrote down the steps, and posted a pic of the error message in my post above.

    Still happening here too. Adding on to this, I am able to purchase with the same PayPal on other websites without any issues or similar error messages.

    Hi-

    Like I said, there is a problem on PayPal's side. I phoned them Friday and they claim to be looking into it but are not open on weekends. In the mean time, we set up a different account to receive payments and I've updated the buttons. Try donating/reloading your bonds now and see if it works. I configured the new buttons to use the same payment flow, so hopefully things will process automatically like they normally would. If not, I'll have to process things manually until PayPal sorts things out.

    I just tried to reload my bond, payment went through and on paypal it shows complete, but when I check my bond I don't see it, and in the payment history I don't see anything new.

    PayPal rang and claims to have fixed the problem. I processed all of your transactions manually so you should have the credit you purchased. Hopefully things will go back to working normally now, we'll see...
