My First Client (ShadowClient)

Hello!

I haven't really worked with VB much, but I love learning this sort of stuff. My clan inspired me to make this when they told me they hate switching between windows and taking up so much Taskbar space just viewing our Forum and RuneScape at the same time. I'm also going to be adding HighScores and other utilities on top of the PriceChecker (Thank's Covey ^.^)

I see no point in me posting a Virus Scan because I could easily edit the pic, but I guarantee you, there are none (If you don't believe me, just go check).

Known Bugs:
The Drop-Down Menus don't link like they're supposed to (I'm working on that)
If you switch Browsers while logged into RuneScape, it'll log you out.

 

If you're looking to switch browsers in the same form in the same space, just put all your browsers on top of each other and set their visible property to true/false. If they're all enabled it will slow down the application though.

Thanks, and yea, I do have it to set their Visibility to True/False. I guess RuneScape detects if the browser is visible and disconnects you for your own safety :O

Is there anything like a Zindex? That's HTML for layering stuff. Like something with a Zindex of 1 would be at the front and a Zindex of 2 would be behind it (But not hidden). Just something like that in VB would help alot.

 

RuneScape simply logs you out when there is a lack of activity in the Java Applet for a small period of time.

To layer them however you like by default you can just right click on controls and either select "Send to back" or "Bring to front". Also, as blupig stated you can modify controls' visible properties (between true/false) to display/hide certain ones depending on what the user wants to look at and be doing.

 

Thanks. I do have the Visible = False stuff though. And with the Bring to Front/Back business, I need it to make changes with that OnClick (When a user is running the program, not when I'm editing it).

 

If all the others are false except the one that you are using, then it will show up file.

I'm not bothering to download the client, but a decent screencap would do you good. All I can see is a bar to the left, a browser and a price checker.
