so pretty much
i spend atleast a hour a day working on getting rid of scammers on sythe etc etc helping newcomers getting safe trades etc

but then i post for friend of mine M selling 14b trusted only' where when someone pmed me i wlways said that we go first

i would get wplit if i found buyer

i instant get twc they say show proof but my mate gp and i pmed him he out and not home and now kys honestly i dont wanna explain story

Atleast dispute the TWC by providing proof of said amount of gold, because right now this seems like you do not even own the gold and are therefore running away to avoid any punishments.

Since when is selling gold for others a TWC'able offence?

What if I posted I wanted to sell 15B, but then lost it staking 1 hour later? How am I going to prove I had said gold? Do market giants prove their trills of stock - no.

You realise, since this sites inception, most market giants state they have infinite stock, yet they rely on sellers to supply them, when they receive an order of purchase. So, in that light, neither do the market giants own said gold.

Adding on, the debate isn't if he owns it or not, it's if he HAD it, or not. Selling gold for other people is fine.

What if I go make a thread stating that I'm selling 20B 07 GP, and then lose it staking 5mins later when asked for proof? What is the precedent that we're using to TWC users.

Note: I'm not in favour, or against the OP, I'm just curious as to why he received a TWC, when others do not.

Selling RSN's that you don't own/can't prove ownership
Selling user services without stating that you outsource the work

I do understand your points, but it was probably a judgement call. I'm fine with staff TWC'ing those who they deem sketchy until proven otherwise.
You may also want to ask why doesn't the guy with the 14B try and sell it themselves- is this a ban evading or what?

 

I've bought and sold multiple things for friends on Sythe. More often than not, the reason is that they are not familiar with platforms such as Sythe, however, they know you're involved in said markets, and come to you for assistance.

There's also the factor of reputability, trust, and all that jazz that makes selling/buying goods easier.

I am not sure if any sites actually do that? If you can, I'd be pretty curious as to who does (wouldn't be surprised if bus369's site does this) because the few times I have bought GP the stock seems to fluctuate for me. A smart website would have that built into the transaction process (-15m when 15m has been bought by a user) but I'm no website creator.

Selling gold for other people is fine, yes, as long as that friend is not a moderator/jagex affiliated. (I remember on PowerBot it was in the ToS that a jagex moderator was not allowed to even be on the website. Not sure if that is active here).

If you made a thread and said that, and then attempted to sell it still, you should be TWC'ed. If you don't write on your thread that it's gone and continue to try and sell even though the stock is there, TWC. 1 strike = 1 out.

Note: I'm also not trying to be biased towards either side.
