Newcomers

I feel like people with brand new sythe accounts should be limited.

Say for instance a newcomer scam someone- and gets banned for it. All he has to do is get a new ip address and create a new account.

I know there is a fair amount of legit newcomers out there which wish to redeen themselfes. But I believe the ones who r scamming on sythe return sooner or later to do it again, because its too easy.

My suggestion are:

1:
Block/Limit PM’s/Market’s posts for newcomers
Or
Force newcomers to spend a certain amount of time, x amount of posts before they can post on the market threads.

2:
Make it to where if you want to register on sythe you’ll have to link your phone number, and if you scam you’ll actually have to put effort in getting a new phone number.

3:
Monitor ISP’s, some routers obtain new IP addresses once you unplug-plug them, however they can’t change their mac address for instance.

I have myself been scammed and burnt countless of times on sythe, some of them even being semi trusted. Now granted I understand that this is nobody but my own faulth. Many newcomers come here to buy accounts- very often they r not informed about account recoveries and why they should not buy accounts from non-trusted members. I believe old sythe users are well aware not to trade with non trusted members, however new members are not, and yes I also speak for myself when I was new here.

 

They're never going to do this, as Sythe is known for its free market. I understand where you're coming from, but it would go against the fundamentals of Sythe itself.

Probably should ask to have this moved to Suggestions forum, though.

Yeah wrong thread... I agree, but the amount of people getting scammed is insane. And I feel like nothing is being done to prevent it

 

Honestly, there is nothing you can do to "prevent" it. Innocent until proven guilty, therefore they are doing all they can at the moment which is banning the people who are proven guilty.

Restricting potentially legit users from parts of the forum will only stir them in the wrong direction, but that's just my opinion.

 

Never thought of it like that, you are absolutely right.

 

I wish they would put a post countminimum to participate. At least scammers would have to make the forums a bit more active.
