Space can be curved meaning that if something continues forever it might end up at the same spot it started at. (not on same plantes cause planets move and stuff) but same spot in universe that it started.

Or space could expand foreever then decrease then restart again with a "BIG BAM" with totaly different laws. perhaps atoms would not exist and so on...

Here we go back to the infinity theory again - any speed, constant or variable can be surpassed. Take x, for example; X= 5,201,505,492,665,901,728,923. Let's say that the universe, if your theory is true, expands at that variable of speed (x). If that is true, then it is possible for our speed of any known space probe (spaceships, rocks, who cares?) to equal something higher than that(y). Y could, in the following equation, be ANYTHING higher than x. Therefore, it would be possible to reach the 'edge' of our universe.

    Code:
     Y > X (5,201,505,492,665,901,728,923)
My theory is that the universe could be one huge atom, just as we have observed all matter being made out of, that goes into an even huger piece of matter which could go into an even huger piece of matter until it simply 'stops'.

Another thing I have been interested in is my own little theory: Everything has a 'limit'. You cannot shove Y into X, as Y > X. The only way Y would ever fit into X would be if X was increased, or added to, by another variable that was equal or greater than Y. I feel this applies to the universe as well. If we eventually reach the 'end' of our universe, it will simply stop. Like the edge of a box, you can push against it but you will not break through unless you add an equal amount of mass to its edges that will 'break' it. Such as pushing against it with your hands.

I could, and probably should, go on in further depth but it's 1:30 AM and I don't want to. You're in Something For All, use your imagination.

    What's Beyond Space?

I have no knowlege of physics astronomy etc, from my mind, i view Distance as Time, we move along it, forwards backwards, but distance is always moving, we can move along it .

Its like a treadmill, or a floor that is constantly moving forward, We can move backwards forwards up down etc, but it never stops, because its continual.

I dont know how to explain my idea any better.

true, tho if the universe is expanding at the speed of light you couldnt reach the end as matter cant possibly travel that fast, tho nothing can go faster then the speed of light so nothing could catch up. but otherwise ur correct

    Mmkay. My turn ..

Space is expanding, yes. We all know that .. Okay. Where does the expansion get it's room? Well, beyond the forever expanding Universe, there lyes a mass that anything is possible. The universe, in my theory, is only a small part of a large black hole. (Which would prove the Big Bang theory ..) The black hole, while not rich enough to suck the entire Universe in whole, is pulling at it's edges, giving up it's own room and making room for the Universe to expand. When the Universe is too large, it will consume it's creator, the black hole.

Well, that's my theory. Take it as it is, though not to the point of foolishness, please. (Wouldn't want a cult, now would I? :D)

Basically, to answer your question, what is beyond space is a contradicted nothingness of everything. It is nothing, yet every thing happens in it. It is the omnipresence. :D

The universe is a term to describe everything. So your question is "What is beyond everything?", or, more clearly, "What is not included in the set of everything?" to which the answer is nothing. There is nothing beyond everything. If there were something beyond it then what you would be looking at wouldn't be 'everything', so the 'something' beyond it would actually be part of 'everything.'

In other words, anything that was 'beyond' the universe would actually be part of the universe, because the universe is everything in existence.

That just leads me back to what I originally said; any speed, if constant, can be surpassed. Are you saying that the speed of light is not a constant?

Space could either be expanding and will eventually cause another big bang, or there are parallel universes, or there's an end to universe that humans can't find.

    What's Beyond Space?

I think what the OP meant is, what is beyond the universe as we know it today. I think as more scientific discoveries come and we are able to see farther out, we will have to redefine what "universe" means or create another term to classify this cluster of galaxies that is accelerating outwards through space.

Most likely there would have to be a new definition since we are so accustomed to calling this large mass of galaxies the universe. But beyond this large mass of galaxies might be other things. That we don't know, but there is a strong possibility that something is out there, otherwise the large bodies wouldn't be accelerating towards it.

you cannot surpass the speed of light, its a fact... everyone should know that.

for an object to go the speed of light it would have infinite weight and would need infinite energy. thus impossible.

and dont say im wrong because that just tells me you havnt read any of einstiens theorys.

It is conceivable that there is an 'end' to the universe, but it might not be something we could really perceive as being an end. It could be that the fabric of space-time curves back into itself. Since stuff on the outermost portions of the universe is supposedly expanding at the speed of light, we will never be able to catch up with it, which makes this problem especially interesting. If it is expanding at the speed of light, there would never be a reachable boundary until it begins to collapse again.
However, take everything I say with a grain of salt, I'm just guessing, as is everyone else.

    What's Beyond Space?

ever heard of a black hole? its size is immeasurably small because of its huge mass. Scientists think that if the mass of an object becomes great enough, all of the atoms composing the object are rid of their electrons, and the overwhelming mass overcomes the magnetic force repelling all of the positive ions away from each other. This is what scientists think black holes are. They further theorize that if you add even more mass, the protons and neutrons actually overlap each other, essentially conquering physics and the laws of nature. This is what people think the Big Bang was- a mass so large that it took up no space whatsoever.
so, in response to the quote- while you cannot pick and choose exactly which dimensions to eliminate(depth, width, length), you can eliminate all of them at once.

    What's Beyond Space?

    Simply put-No one knows.

There are many explanations but until technology has advance enough to take on an adventure such as intergalactic space travel there is no possible way to know.

    Enough Said.

    What's Beyond Space?

Its a waste of time because the question what is beyond space is too complex because what comes after the thing that comes after that and what after that? It has to end somewhere somewhere because there has to be something beyond it.
