The End of Odd Staking

90% of xing is done with 5-10% odds in my experience, sometimes 15-20%
But that makes sense if they did that I suppose, although with items on the grand exchange being way off price this would he easy to manipulate. Again just jagex working on the wrong thing. If they wanted to ban xers for rwt they couldjust log in and start investigating accounts one by one

 

Is this happening? Can anyone confirm?

 

ONly current information is that jagex has some plans to change the arena in 2018

 

It would be unfortunate to see the rental market die out, and this would also likely inflate gold prices a fair bit.

As far as the game game goes though this is definitely in the best interest of the games integrity, from Jagex's pov.

It would be a good money sink for the economy but who knows how badly it could ruin things if implemented wrong @Katinukas

Also if they taxed staking all odd stakers would do is increase the margin that they shoot for. For example, if you tax 5% odd stakers would just stake for minimum 10% odds instead of 5%. I think this is a case of Jagex trying to make a massive change in the game that will backfire in a huge way. You have a free economy in osrs the same as in real life, this is like the government telling you you can run a casino cuz its not fair haha

I think changing the stats to max temporarily is a stupid idea. and also jagex is pretty stupid to think that making a "max margin" between stakes will do anything. 90% of odd stakes are btween 5-15% anyways, so its entirely useless
