Virus - WTF? Don't understand..

Okay lol, i was goin through sythe, then i come this one pa- BAM! I'm hit with a virus! So, now i'm thinking to myself, WTF 29 hp noob (no joke, my anti-virus has a limit on how many virus' , after you put them into a " vault", you don't have to "heal") Okay, after eating a couple pizza pops to restore my health (again, not kidding, this is serious), i read it over, and notice it says blah blah (heres a picture) :



So i see " blah blah...Cooldude2934 " and im like wtf? So i search it under "member list", and went through the whole section that starts with " cool " and nothing pops, no 'Cooldude2934'. So i decide to google it. Then I come to the Sythe archives. so it directs me to this page of a guy renting a rune miner. so i scroll down and see a guy post his email. Guess what it is. [email protected]. So, i look at the name, and turns out to be a guy name DrDeath. And i just saw this guy earlier.

So, in conclusion, why do you think i got a virus????


and btw, i didnt try to open anything, i was just scrolling down when BAM it hit me.

It looks like its just a tracking cookie from one of our advertisements. Download Firefox, and then download the adblock plus extension and you should be fine. Tracking cookies are nothing to worry about anyway.

Tracking cookies are spyware.

This kid got a virus from one of Sythe's gay-ass ads.

 

Tracking cookies are harmless, and are not spywares (they aint executables, just data collected by the site you are on to keep the session running, nothing more).

I highly doubt this comes from the ads, this might be :
- False alarm : It happens a lot.
- Some other thing is running on the puter, and picked up one of the last files he saw (directly or inderectly).

Since you have quarantined the file, do you mind please pming it to me ? i'll be glad to take a look at it and give you (an to the community) a better view ?

It just looks like a tracking cookie or nothin big. Go to Start | Run | %temp% | delete all

I'm not computer nerd, so is deleting my 'temp internet files' okay? or should i keep them there? And if i should delete them, which ones? Files too?

Do not worry about sending the file if you do not know how to, and no, it is not a cookie, and no there is no big harm in deleting your temp folder through tools/ internet options/browsing history delete/temporary internet files delete files.
