What makes you think it will be faster on your server? By the way you shouldn't use the sign in on that site because the SSL certificate expired in September... if someone is sniffing your traffic they can see your password. What a joke that a government site can't even make sure their log in is encrypted lol

I'd like to add that taking government site source and hosting it on your own site is probably really illegal and if you do it it's not hard for them to see where their network requests are going (they will be able to see everything is pointing to your domain). You should not even be taking source and hosting it yourself from any website, let alone a government site.

 

You wouldn't be able to download everything. You would have to point the webapp to local data to get the speeds you want and obtaining all of it, especially for mapping software, isn't trivial. Doing this would be more or less similar to hosting something like a Runescape private server. All that data that the game uses has to be recreated locally because it can't all just be scraped. That's why you don't see 100% authentic game private servers out there.
