[Suggestion] Instead of a pinned thread for account sales . . .

Hey guys, everyday the Sythe community sees account sellers that have either joined the forum yesterday, or the day before. That's awesome! However, most of these users are selling their accounts over and over and constantly recovering them as a scam.

I was thinking for a while, and thought of a way to help (genuine) new-market users not get caught up in this scam.

Instead of having a pinned thread (that people should read but don't) there should be a disclaimer for sythe users when somebody clicks on a newcomer's thread selling their account. I feel that this will help make people aware that account recovering will always be there, but now it will just help people pick the right users to buy accounts from.

The disclaimer (when clicking a new-users account thread) will say something like, "WARNING: Just so that you are aware, accounts are ALWAYS recoverable. Pick the right sythe member to buy your account from." Something along those lines.

This randomly popped into my head, if anybody has any feedback please respond.

 

OR we could abolish the free market in that section and just allow the giant sellers(Arcus,won gold, Myself, Divica) that deal in accounts just sell there and we'd never have a recovery issue ever again but people don't care until it happens to them so we sit at a standstill.

Anyway this would be an annoyance to do on a tech side I'm sure and wont stop people from being stupid.

 

If people dont read the stickies they would not read a disclaimer/pop up.


Additionally this would go against sythes free markets policies because your restricting a user because they are new.

 

Support. However just to make it fair, this should be in every account section and on every thread.

I don't agree with Tyler because I'll see a disclaimer on an account thread before I see a sticky. (If I was new)

 

This would have to be more general than that, so it would have to be section-wide rather than just for newcomers in account sales - something I can support.

 

Newcomer or not, vouched or not, old accounts or not, people will scam if they want to scam (recover).

We can not specifically target new user market posts simply because there is a chance they will scam. People are expected to read the stickies and if they do not, there is little that we can do as we can not hold their hands. This suggestion won't happen as it's a free market.

However, if you want to make a new suggestion thread suggesting something of this sort, but to every market post (not just newcomers), feel free.
