Who do you trust on Sythe?

As people get scammed left right and centre with Rs accounts, was just interested to see what you guys look for when trusting someone you’d like to purchase an account off of?

Also, what is it that intises so many people to trust a newcomer with a “too good to be true” account?

Personally $100+ donor along with 50+ vouches is good enough for me.

 

1. high end gold shops
2. high end donors with lots of vouches & old join date
3. staff members
4. friends like @johncx & others

What is it do you think that makes people blind to a scam, age? Lack of Sythe knowledge?

 

i mean i've seen people who have trusted newcomers with no status at all with 400m+ so stupidity is definitely a factor

I think a common misconception which leads people into a false sense of security is forum status, anyone can spam replies on posts and get forum addict in a week,

 

I just think they are too eager to get what they want at that time. A majority of people get scammed because they don’t want to wait for a trusted seller/buyer to come along. I’m also a victim of this and I don’t see myself as someone stupid just someone who’s impatient.

When buying accounts I look for 500+ Vouches, donor status, post count, and join date. Mainly to see how much time they’ve put into the site.

 

People I’ve know for a while and got to know on a personal level. @Alex_J_Leon doesnt have any market involvement or an active vouch thread that I know of. His composure and attitude mean that I would be comfortable in trusting him if needs be. In relation to accounts it depends on what I’d be using them for.

 

People with high posts, joined for years, high donors. I really dont understand people buying accounts off people who joined a week ago.

The list of trustworthy people on Sythe is pretty short tbh. That's not to say you can't temporarily trust ppl for a trade because many have more to lose than to gain, but that doesn't make them trustworthy people to me.

The trustworthy people are those who bs and contribute to Sythe and post when they feel like it. I've found they are increasingly easy to pick out the longer I'm here.

 

For accounts? 1,000 Vouches bare minimum I’d say

 

For accounts I usually gauge how much $$$ I'd pay to get you banned when you recover it and offer it.

A. You recover the account and I get what I paid for
B. You don't recover the account and everyone's happy.

 

Nothing, I will never ever buy an account.

Impulsive purchases.

I trust newcomers cuz they sell their maxed accounts for 50usd and I would trust @Qemo with my bankroll.

I wouldn’t say I need to see 500 or Even 1K+ vouches to trust someone.
Spending time on the site and in company of the community, is the best way to learn who to trust & who not to.

 

I trust those who have more to lose than to gain from scamming me.

I just hope 5 other people don't think the same thing, at the same time, with the same guy, lol.

That being said, i've been scammed out of $2 by a $50 donator :thinking:

Oh also, I don't trust those with bad grammar / attitude.

 

Lol yeah I don't give donation amount two shits because of that reason. If a guy donates $200 and scams 5 people $50 at once he made $50. That's like worst case scenario for them. So I generally think nothing of donator status.

 

That’s pretty interesting way of looking at it never saw it that way, so you’re essentially battling with scammers by buying them out, in an attempt to rid them from the site?

It’s hard (speaking as someone who doesn’t have many vouches or donator status) to be considered trusted, what iceberg also found is people who constantly hang on about being trusted generally aren’t to be trusted, if you’re genuine in your actions and intentions you have no need to worry about whether someone else believes you or not, for example, if some kid called you gay at school, if you spent 2 hours ranting on about how not gay you are, chances are, you’re gay.

This is something so many people need to realise, but never even think about, a $50 Donar who joined Sythe a month ago and has 7 accounts for sale at once is gunna suicide scam.
