I would say Vitamin K is more essential than Vitamin C in terms of having normal blood clotting regulation.

If you are having blood clots your issue is not with vitamin K. If you are having trouble clotting then the issue might be with K.

You're right, I misread him saying that he had trouble with proper coagulation and vitamin K would most probably just worsen the condition.

@Sythe is it okay to "shotgun" my eggs and drink it raw from a glass?

Only yolks. Raw whites contain an enzyme that blocks digestion.

This is terrible advice. Also from someone doing a lot of research in my studies i have to say you have terrible knowledge of how research works, how correlations and basically everything works. Will edit in debunking his arguments in parts when i have time

    Edit:
Part 1: OK to start things off i will debunk the "proof" that OP gives to justify the high amount of cholesterol eggs have

@Sythe No offense but did you read this article you quoted (Most heart attack patients' cholesterol levels did not indicate cardiac risk) ? I was going to find some source to argue against your points but your own source did it for me which should be an indicator to people not to listen to this advice...

The article states: "75 percent of patients hospitalized for a heart attack had cholesterol levels that would indicate they were not at high risk fora cardiovascular event, based on current national cholesterol guidelines. Specifically, these patients had low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels that met current guidelines, and close to half had LDL levels classified in guidelines as optimal (less than 100 mg/dL)."

In short: They were not below average in cholesterol but below the recommended guidelines in america.
These guidelines consider under 100mg/dl to be an optimal level of LDL cholesterol, while the author you considered reliable states himself that these guidelines could not be correct:

"Almost 75 percent of heart attack patients fell within recommended targets for LDL cholesterol, demonstrating that the current guidelines may not be low enough to cut heart attack risk in most who could benefit," said Dr. Gregg C. Fonarow

Later the same article states (yes the same article im not joking) "the risk of cardiovascular events increases substantially with LDL levels above 40–60 mg/dL"

Also as of now i cant put up 100% proof of the dangers of cholesterol (really busy, but i will add more information later) However, if OP is wrong, and again no offence, then eating a dozen eggs a day would be an incredibly stupid thing to do and considering the non-existing evidence for the claims i would recommend nobody to eat more than 5/6 eggs a week.

TLDR: There is no proof that cholesterol is not dangerous, in fact the sources provided to back those claims actually only criticize the guidelines for LDL cholesterol levels to be too low, which is why 72.1% of admitted heart attack patients were considered to have good levels of LDL cholesterol. Again the same source also offers an alternative guideline half as high as the suggested one which would massively decrease the amount of people with a healthy level of LDL cholesterol. Please do no eat a dozen eggs a day and try to remain under 5 or 6 eggs a week instead. (more proof will be added soon)

Part 2: "Debunking" Saturated fats and rabbit expirement

There is no direct link between saturated fat and heart disease and never has been, maybe this confused you. Saturated fat increases LDL Cholesterol which in turn would then cause the heart disease. So not finding a correlation in a meta-analysis with 0 mention of the many options to reduce LDL cholesterol, really proves nothing. Person A could consume high saturated fats but consumes alot of fiber. Person B consumes low amount of saturated fats but very little fiber. In this study Person B would have similar or higher levels of cholesterol but does not prove anything.

Where you aware humans have a digestive system of a herbivore? Take a dog, a meat eater, and compare his digestive system to ours, its completely different.

The last part is just stupid claims with no evidence.

    Part 3: The perfect food

Its great for energy? We get energy from caloric value there is literally no discrimination? It will make you strong? as will any balanced diet with enough protein.

You cant deny the egg does in fact have all the essential amino acids. Is it incredibly easy to get those from a magnitude of other sources however? Yes.

So the only thing to consider from there is if the accessibility of having all of them in 1 product is worse than the potential negative health impact from all the other aspects mentioned before.

That comparison with the embryo absorbing it tells us nothing aswell. Humans dont have problems processing natural plant-based proteins. In fact we have problems digesting animal-based proteins but thats whole new topic i dont have time for.

    In conclusion:

Eating some Eggs in a balanced diet wont kill you, but don't be an idiot and eat a dozen a day..

Hey, I've been counting macros for 2 years and from the research I've done, I wouldn't recommend eating more than 1 egg yolk per day. They contain the maximum daily recommended cholesterol and the yolk doesn't contain much protein. The egg whites contain the majority of the protein without the bulk of the cholesterol. So make sure if you're eating eggs, you opt for egg whites, but a whole egg a day aint gonna kill ya. Everything in moderation kids.

You clearly don't know how to separate the results of a study from commentary on the results of a study.

You also clearly don't understand correlation. When event X occurs in conjunction with event Y then we say there is a correlation between events X and Y. That correlation doesn't imply causation. But when reversed the link is not weak... i.e. when event X doesn't occur in conjunction with event Y then we can say for certain that event Y was not caused by event X. So in this case high cholesterol doesn't occur in conjunction with 75% of heart attacks, and therefore high cholesterol cannot have caused those heart attacks. That is pretty damning for the cholesterol heart hypothesis.

Eating cholesterol doesn't and can't directly increase blood cholesterol. What is referred to as cholesterol is actually a set of proteins that wrap cholesterol. The production of these proteins are tightly controlled by the liver. Cholesterol is immiscible in water and therefore blood. Eating it cannot cause it to enter the blood stream in these proteins. The only way for that to happen is the liver produces the proteins and wraps them around the cholesterol.

Here's a meta analysis of all studies up to 2015 regarding dietary cholesterol which found no link between cholesterol consumption and stroke or cvd. Dietary cholesterol and cardiovascular disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis. - PubMed - NCBI

You may not be aware of this but cholesterol is essential for the life and maintenance of every cell in your body which is why it is manufactured by the liver and has special transports in the blood stream. After Ancel Keys fed obligate herbivores extremely high cholesterol diets he noticed they developed lesions in their arteries. However when meat eaters are fed cholesterol even at high concentrations they do not develop these. The war on cholesterol is unscientific to say the least.

Consider other animals. For example bears have cholesterol of 11mmol/l (425 mg/dL) and yet there is no heart disease nor any symptoms of it in the entire species.

Further, the Framingham Study, from which much of the 'risk' of heart disease from blood concentration of cholesterol is derived in mainstream literature actually showed the opposite correlation before stains were given the study participants.

Humans have a very short digestive system, as do dogs, because we are both omnivores with a preference for meat. This claim that we have the digestive system of herbivores is completely false.

You clearly don't know anything about food or digestion. Look up glycemic index. Look up choline. Look up burning protein vs burning fat vs burning glucose.

Most people have difficulty obtaining correct nutrition. Eating eggs you can't go wrong. There is no negative health consequence to consuming eggs as has been explained above via both a debunking of your proposed mechanism and meta analysis of empirical data.

You sound like a vegan. Eat some meat and eggs and your brain might start working correctly again.

Yeah, eggs are a really great source of essential vitamins + protein. Been eating 3 a day ever since i started lifting. I pretty much have to cook them perfectly because i hate it when it's still gooey, even if it's just a tiny bit.
