Change the name of the Do Not Trade rank

The DNT-rank's purpose it to try and incentivise people that scammed or were banned for another matter to either pay their victim back and/or become a 'good forum member'. However the Do Not Trade rank adds too much of a negative sound to it. People could come on Sythe.org and see the big "DO NOT TRADE" rank on their account and immediately lose all incentive to do anything good.

My suggestion: change the rank to "Ironman".
As we all know ironman are unable to trade and would therefor perfectly fit, instead of the DNT-rank. By doing this people dont immediately lose all incentive when they make a post or look at their profile and see the rank.

 

But Ironman can still drop trade over, are safe to interact with on runescape, etc?

Do not trade gets the point across clear as day, if u see "Do not trade" that means DO NOT TRADE.

Honestly, it sounds okay, but we are not longer just a Runescape RWT site, we have other sections and whatnot. I think over time we are trying to step away from everything being mainly Runescape related (if you haven't noticed small changes throughout the site doing so), and incorporating every other market in.

As Runescape related personnel, we get the analogy. I think other market users or whatnot would be like, Why the fuck is it an ironman now? WTF does the mean? etc.

 

Ironman also makes it seem as if they voluntarily opted into having the rank. While this does occur from time to time (since you can't SRB anymore), most of the cases involved having the DNT'd party scam / vade / or act in a manner that historically would get someone banned.

DNT does a good job of conveying the message that you should not be trading these users. Calling them 'Ironmen' just doesn't have the same ring to it.

 

Everyone doesn't know what an ironman is not to mention the forum has multiple sub sections having nothing to do with ironman as well as multiple markets. Its a good idea for a forum directed toward runescape but unfortunately sythe is a black market for more than just runescape.

 

Good idea in theory, but eh. Being an Ironman is optional; it's a different style of gameplay. While it's definitely an individual's choice to scam or whatever got them banned and have the DNT in the firstplace, the rank should not be something that sounds positive. Just doesn't fit in the whole scheme of things.

 

I have no idea what an ironman is and has to infer its meaning through this thread. No support either, it should be clear to every user what the rank is about/for, and it can't get more obvious than 'do not trade'.

 

No support from me. Ironman sounds too voluntary. The point of a "Do Not Trade" is to tell people not to trade a person because they are either: under investigation for a potential scam, gave the title to themselves because they don't see themselves trading in the near future and want to protect others incase of their account becoming compromised, or a previously banned account that has been excused but has yet to pay back debts. TLDR, it's supposed to sound bad. There's a reason they have the badge.
