What's the deal with bunny ears on accounts?

Are they still a rarity/desirable? I logged into an old account and found I had an account with some.

EDIT: I know what bunny ears are. I'm asking if they're still worth anything if I were to sell account.

If you mean desirable as in like you're selling the account with it. I imagine it might be, it is a 2003 holiday item.

 

They are just an item that people may find aesthetically pleasing. It wouldn't add any extra value to an account, however, it would show that you have played since they were released.

 

My friend Grendmas RS summed this up perfectly. Some will like bunny ears, but in most instances it's the scythe that shines in the darkness.

I definitely thinks it adds value to the account if you're planning on selling it. There are very few bunnyear accounts left so it makes it quite rare. The problem is that accounts get recovered very easily so it's not as valuable as a tradable rare since there's no guarantee in keeping the item/account.

Just a cosmetic , that shows how long you've played runescape pretty much.

 

Just for clarification; I know what bunny ears are and how they're obtained etc. as I'm original owner, I'm only asking if they still hold value.

 

They're a novelty item - they're a sign that you started playing the game even before most of the players in RS3 were even born. They definitely add value.

Nah, it's true, trust me.
People who have been playing since 2001/02 are seen as more superior to everybody else, despite how sad they are that they've been playing for 15+ years. I have tonnes of accounts, some of which are 15+ years (bought recently) and I always find that I am sometimes the subject of attention if I'm wearing the cape, carrying the scythe and/or wearing the bunny ears. That's why that kind of account is in reasonably high-demand, it's an easy way to differentiate yourself from the rest of the playerbase.
