Yeah that time I was promoted there were a lot of promotions (maybe you too?), all of which were good I think. People knew each other better, it was like a small family from the IRC. Now all you get is tryhard kids trying to meme, you can't have a serious conversation with anyone anymore, which is why I really loved the Finn era and the IRC.

You couldn't really have a serious conversation with Finn either unless you were always in agreement with him. I'm sure he's grown up and matured but I don't think Sythe has ever seen a more self-righteous narcissist than Finnji.

I was going to add you to the list but I legitimately forgot your name change. Sythe is like RS now everyone changes their names and I have no idea who is who anymore.

Yeah you cant beat Sythe back in those days (really anywhere from 2007-2011). It isn't "muh nostalgia" or anything it's just straight up fact. That era of Sythe was fucking incredible. You couldn't refresh the Spam Forum fast enough for 10+ new posts. It also helps that this was pretty much universally agreed as the golden age for RS. I still think 2011 scape was the perfect game. 2005-2008= best memories 2009-2011= best gameplay IMO

I still think 2014 - 15 Sythe was very strong as well. OSRS brought a lot of people back, rejuvenated the market, CDT was still flawed but the events were pretty good. And again, that was thanks to Roary, @Dunworry , @Astro , @Wonderland and I know I'm forgetting other people.

2016 was pretty good. Had some great memes.

I just have to be honest though, can anyone say 2017 has been good? Maybe I just got burnt out but 2017 has felt dead to me. Like, really dead. And again, community dead, not market dead.
