I could've referred to a case 2-3 months ago where video stated that they could not determine who recovered an account because it was resold and no refunds were given in that case. I'm sure I would've not been held responsible but at the end of the day it's just money.

I'm still certain I can recover it at the house where I created it, so hopefully whoever has it left some GP on it so I can take it lol

Regardless of who posted it, does it matter? What are the rules on that? If the info wasn't posted by you and posted by a former mod is it still considered doxing? What about if a user requotes a old post with your IRL info that you posted? Is this considered doxing (since it is sill technically "posting personal info", rather the user posted it unknowingly or not?

The rules done seem to specify this and that's why this whole situation is confusing. again, rather or not you posted the info, it was still publically available on sythe, and the rules say if it's publically available on sythe then it's okay.

How does this apply to my case (3-4 years ago I posted my irl info.) if someone requotes that 5 years later is it considered a dox?

What exactly constitutes a "dox" on sythe.


@Tyler I do agree that regardless of rather it was against the rules or not or if there was some loop hole he was using, what seraphic did wasn't right and there was no reason to do it, so I'm on your side on that. I'm just confused about the official rules on who gets banned and what constitutes a dox.

 

It's okay. They're similar situations so you seem to be trying to understand why your case was treated differently than mine.

These are the rules that pertain to my situation (Staff). They say specifically that "information staff have posted on sythe about themselves" or reposting of the same provided the original still exists.

Paper got banned for Doxinf, right after the CDT removed his MOTM and mods banned seraphic, even though seraphic claimed to be technically writhing the rule, and the people who doxed me were also writhing the rules (yes loop holes do exist here).
