Jsand recovered max main RIP

That's just speculation.

I provided the original password, i'm using the email address i created the account with. I'm using 2 of the passwords that were used on the account. I'm only within ~10 miles of where the account was created. I gave them the exact date the account was made as I still have the original email.

The only thing I can think of is the IP change but 10 miles can't be that big of a deal. Anyway. Any insight on what to do would be appreciated @Champ

 

Sorry to intrude but I ran into a similar issue. If it doesn't line up exactly, I suggest saying in the comment portion that you moved and provide your original creation IP. I've sent in appeals before with that change being the only thing different and that would give me a successful appeal vs a denied appeal. Hope that helps

 

Thanks Dunworry. Didn't think of providing my original IP. I'll try again with that. (not sure how i'll find that out)

I did tell them I moved 10ish miles away and provided my original address and that didnt work.

 

Tweeting at Jagex Support not will work as they are very unprofessional with helping users getting their accounts back. My suggestion for getting the account back is typing in your message box on the manual recover page is saying that your IP/Location is the same whenever you created the account. Hope this helps.

Hey Champ, I tried a total of 4 times and got denied for the same reason pictured earlier.

 

@JSand You will have to refund Hattez, if you cannot recover the account.

@hattez, you will have to refund the person whom has purchased the account from you also.

 

Can you explain how you came to that decision? It's been over a year for both me and hattez. How do we know he is claiming it was recovered when it truly hasn't?

How is it possible for both Hattez and I to be held responsible for a trade that happened a year ago? When does the responsibility end? 2, 3 10 years from now?

Its a bit ridiculous that someone can spontaneously claim an account was recovered, not provide proof that it was actually recovered, and receive a refund after a year.

On the reverse side of your story, anyone could sell an account, wait a year, and claim no responsibility.

Who else is responsible in this situation?
The original owner because he is the one who can recover it at the end of the day.

 

That's not always the case as is clear right here as I can not recover it.

I'm also not sure what you mean by "First recovery step", that would imply there are more steps to recover an account then just the one?

And again, when does the responsibility end? I can't be held responsible for the life of the account that's insane. A person can't buy a product, claim it was stolen and seek a refund from the merchant, especially after so much time has past and multiple people have use the account.

No. If it is auto-denying it that means the information you are entering is wrong.

At the end of the day, you are responsible for that account.
When you sold it you are agreeing full responsibility.

This is the huge issue with account sales. Accounts are always recoverable with certain information given. I had bought a max main for @Zac awhile back and he had given me all information for the acc. The acc was made in the united kingdom. I did some tests when i had the account and i could easily recover the account with little information while on a VPN based in the UK.

For this to be determined there should be a private screen shot of the information given to hattez from Jsand. That information should be tested by a moderator to recover the account while on a a VPN based in the creation location of the account.

This will explain if the information given to hattez is able to recover the account.

If it passes then no refund is able to be given due to the information being passed around.

This isn't about the money for me, account sales are stupid and I'll never sell an account again. The rules should be really looked into and this topic should continue: RuneScape Account Recovery Procedure

Going to try and recover the account at the house where it was created next weekend and hope that works anyway. As Rstrader said he doesn't want the account anymore I guess hattez will need to refund him.

 

Read your previous posts, I find it odd the account was recovered when Hattez was banned, and now you're trying to be sly and blame me, or say I'm lying.

And for the record, which Hattez can confirm, all I got was the email and password he set for me, nothing more.

You're the original owner, if you can't recover it, then you shouldn't be selling it really.

Furthermore, I asked Hattez if he can sell it for me, the highest he got was 250, so I told him I'll just keep it because I don't need the money. I had no recovery information, how many people would buy an account that has no past recovery information provided to them? The only reason I did that with Hattez is because I've known him for ages, and his trust speaks for itself.
