[APPROVED/REVIEW] IP Audit QOL

Simple Suggestion:
Have banned users appear red on an IP Audit.

I think it could help users find out if they're trading with a ban evader. Of course there will be false positives due to legitimate players using VPNs, but banned users are already on their IP Audit so it shouldn't really matter.

A similar idea was mentioned in 2013, Addition to the user/ip audit, but i'm not sure if anything has changed since then that would allow for this to be implemented.

Just wondering why I wasn't a part of your example IP audit................... I see I am not loved.

This would certainly be helpful in catching those pesky vaders, saves us opening EVERY account on an IP audit.

I guess it all comes down to how much the technical aspects of this have changed. I don't see any negative potential behind this other than that and time constraints. @Sythe would you be able to let us know where we are now compared to Addition to the user/ip audit?

 

If it's relatively easy to implement then, it is a Yes from me. As stated it will help identifying ban evaders.

As I stated when the idea popped up in discord, this actually back be really beneficial, specifically with serial Vaders. You wouldn't have to jump through hoops searching 50 names on a single IP anymore to see which ones are unbanned still.

 

You just a lazy fuck if you can't click the scroll wheel on a couple of names to check for yourself.
I don't support this unless it is super easy to implement, like 5 minute fix type easy. Otherwise it's just a waste of time.

 

Maybe if you had market perms to try find vaders you'd realise it's not a waste of time :S

Yes, 100% support on this. I won't restate every reason mentioned above me, but @Island said it best.

 

As it is so simple i see it being worth it if it saves at least 1 guy. Would also be nice to see if someone is using a vpn(might be harder to do)this should make it easier for people to realize something is shady about a guy

 

Try looking through several users one by one on serial evader IP's yourself. You're DNT, so you're probably unaware of how many come into the market on a daily basis, and @Milotic has a solid point. It doesn't matter if the system is fine now because if you can make a change to improve it, and make other members lives easier, then why not have it implemented? It would be an addition that would benefit the community, and make the forums a whole lot safer. Your counter argument is invalid no offense. We're unsure how hard it would be to implement, which is probably the only thing that could prevent this from happening in the near future as other things would have to be implemented, but I'd love to see it be added.

Whilst we're adding on from that @Pendulum can we also have DNT users in some kind of orange name too? I know new evaders LOVE to make new accounts in order to evade their DNT so they can scam more users. I feel that this would also help in catching scammers/evaders.

I support sometimes there's dozens of accounts that use the same vpn/proxy and some are banned and active so it is hard to tell
