Spicy Ban Appeal

my username is "Spicy"

I was recently banned on sythe for proof of having a very dirty past with blackhat/luring/scamming in-game. It has been long since I have participated in unethical activities, since the last time I have done so was probably over a year ago, but before giving proof that I have reformed I would first like to confess and clear up what exactly I am guilty of and the backstory of my ban.

A user called Huit, whom I've known for a long time tried to chargeback me on PayPal for a few thousand dollars. Upon losing the case he got mad and exposed my past before I was a legitimate Sythe trader.

I am guilty of the following, I have done nothing else:
1. I used to do grand exchange manipulation scams in-game.
2. I used to lure in-game, by telling people to drop their partyhats or go to the wilderness with their wealth and pk them.
3. Huit encouraged me to help him scam another user while he ddos'd them.
4. I have participated in fake-stakes to scam a split (in odds staking).

I have never:
- agreed to help ddos someone for 40b
- ddos'd anyone myself
- scammed anyone on my gold trading/account services.


I would like to emphasize that it has been over a year since I have done these things, and since then I have reformed. I have never had a dispute with any member on sythe and all of my gold trading services have been legit. If anyone would look at my vouches it would be evident that a lot of people are going first to me for large amounts and I provide good service to any customer, as I have traded well over $100,000 USD worth of gold legitimately with many different people.

I can get numerous people to vouch that I am indeed a legitimate trader and that it has been over a year since I have done anything sketchy.

I believe that I deserve a pardon on my ban since I try very hard to provide a good service to all of my customers and the people that I trade with. I feel like I belong with the Sythe community and I think that many of my customers and other Sythe users feel the same way.

I hope that whoever is reading this can step into my shoes and understand that I am regretful for having a filthy past and that I have changed my ways already a while ago.

If any victims of my filthy past behavior from before I was a trader step forward at any point in time I will refund them in full and give proof of doing so.

I am guilty of:
- doing grand exchange manipulation scams in-game.
- tricking people to drop their partyhats or come to the wilderness with their wealth in-game
- being convinced to help participate in scamming another RS3 staker in a fake-stake split.
- being convinced to split a stake which was DDoS'd by another member.

what I was accused of, but not guilty of and will absolutely never do:
- agree to ddos a person for 40B rs3.
- ddosing anyone myself.
- scam on a gold/account trading service.

• Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you:

User "Huit" (who assisted me in my unethical activities before I was a serious sythe trader) tried to chargeback me on PayPal for several thousand dollars. Since he lost the case he got mad and exposed the truth of who I was before I was a Sythe trader. I take full responsibility for scamming/luring other players but I want to make something clear.
1. The bad things I have done were before I was trading "seriously" on Sythe, over a year ago.

2. I have reformed since then and have been trading legitimately and being trusted with thousands of dollars by several people. This can be evident in my vouches and can get several people to vouch for my legitimacy and also for the fact that I have changed my ways and my mindset.

3. I do feel regret for my actions, unfortunately there were a lot of victims involved and since majority were in-game on RS3 I am unable to pay them all back, also it was from a long time ago. However if any victims do remember who I was and step up I will refund them in full and give evidence of me doing so.

4. I have been doing my best to provide the best possible service of my ability to all my customers and all the users who decide to trade with me. I personally believe that I deserve a pardon and I feel that many of the people I have traded with + other sythe users will agree with me. I have brought nothing but positivity to Sythe and made many friends here, I hope my pardon is taken seriously.

Hi, I see that my thread went to voting now and I understand that some people are going to vote with the mindset "once a scammer, always a scammer" so I just want to clarify some things.
I was held accountable for 2 scams which happened over a year ago, un-related to sythe and before I took sythe seriously.

1. Huit (Who used to be one of my best friends) got someone's IP but wasn't 100% certain it was his. He had to give that person odds in the stake and wasn't comfortable with risking a big ammount so he asked me to split into the stake. I said sure. Huit went into the stake, hit the guy off and paid me my split after.
- Regardless of me saying "yes I want a split" or "no I don't want a split", the person would have been ddos'd and scammed anyway. (The user who was ddosed is known as a scammer by many people. If required I can provide proof of him scamming and everyone who witnessed it happen)

2. A different friend told me about how he scammed a certain individual in-game several times without the victim understanding that my friend was behind it. My friend told me that he could be scammed again if he could convince him to split in a fake stake, but he was lacking an account to use for faking the stake. Being his friend I agreed to help him and I used my account to fake stakes with him resulting in the victim staking against odds when he thought he was staking with odds.
- Regardless of me saying "Yes I will use my account to help you" or "No I will not use my account to help you", the victim would have been scammed regardless as all that was required was an account to use.

Now one can argue that I could have prevented both scams by warning the intended victim beforehand, but if I did that it would be blatantly obvious that it was me who prevented the scams from occuring - putting me at risk of angering the original scammer and bad things happening to me. For example me being chargebacked/ddosed by the scammers to get back at me for ruining their income.

In both of the scenarios I was not the one "doing the scamming", I was the guy on the sidelines making money out of the unfortunate events which I now feel much regret for.

The point I'm trying to make is this. Yes I have lured in the past in-game, Yes I have participated in some unethical activities for my own personal gain, however since I have made my donations to Sythe I have reformed. I have not a single complaint about me on Sythe (only just ONE misunderstanding which was resolved), I was actively trading with alot of people and been in the position to be trusted with thousands of dollars. I also have a goldsite on the way (www.spicygp.com) to further progress my trading.

Sythe means so much to me and I've made alot of friends here who I believe can give me a notable vouch, here are some names:

I don't recall if every member was in the position to trust me with over $1000, but I'm pretty sure most have.

I am really asking for a second chance here because I have invested so much time into Sythe and it means so much to me. I would be very grateful to those voting who do not judge me for some past mistakes (which I have paid for without hesitation) and put themselves into my shoes. I am here on Sythe to grow my reputation, make money and make new friends. I am not a threat to this community and I do not plan to risk my reputation over a quick fix of cash.
