    PlayerAuctions Issues Resolution Thread

    I was asked by support to cancel my order, so i did. I was told a refund would take 2-3 days, so i waited. It is now almost 6 days with no refund. My emails to support are going ignored. Whats the deal?

    Note the difference in amount is after currency conversion.

    Dear Playerauctions,
    Three days ago it was my first day selling an account on your website. I created an offer and a buyer bought it but I waited for 2-3 days and I still didn't receive the money and I already delivered the account and he got it and I noticed he changed all the account detail that I've sent to him. In the disbursement it says unsuccessful buyer fully refund but how? I delivered the account details as soon as he paid and when I waited he got the refund? This is totally a scam. I lost my account and not even get the money. Please help
    I have deliveried the account, the buyer got it, he changed everything such as email and password but somehow he got his money back.
    "Disbursement Status: Order closedunsuccessfully - buyer fully refunded"

    Hey guys, I was able to respond to all your private messages now. I checked and everyone who posted here was able to send me a PM that I was able to reply to.

    To summarize, we encountered two issues.

    One, there were disbursement issues that seem doubled or had extras; For this, we ask for your kindness in refunding those back at us. If you are able to, please email the refund transaction ID to [email protected] or PM it to me here; I'll escalate it to our finance right away for processing. Thank you if you are able to do this.

    Second, we had a display glitch that displays all successful orders as "order closed - buyer refunded". This is NOT the case, this is just a simple display glitch. If you want to find out the actual status of your order, simply private message me the order ID and I will give you its status. In fact, most of you who inquired me about it are about to be paid on August 23-24 already, so we have that covered.

    For BOTH issues, our team has already identified the problem and is now working on a fix. They're working on the double and rest assured these cases are given top priority.

    I'd like to thank you all for extending your patience on this matter. Sorry that I was gone for 2 business days, it had nothing to do with the two mishaps and it was purely coincidental. No BS there, it was a holiday from where I am and the other day, I was on leave.

    I have received a full refund. A happy ending for me, but overall, can't say I'm impressed of the whole ordeal =/

    I'm using PlayerAuctions because it's supposed to be not only safe, but also fast due to their escrow system where the website acts as an automated middleman. I will gladly pay handling fees for such system that also verifies and rates the sellers and makes this risky second hand market more safe and secure. However, the whole system loses it's value if the middleman ransoms the money for 3 days and support leaves you dead on the water for the entire time. Who would pay extra for something like this if you couldve avoided the problem by dealing directly with someone trusted seller.

    If I ever use PlayerAuctions again, it will be with PayPal where I have option to chargeback myself without having to rely on the mercy of outside systems. This was a farce for me, because not only did I have to deal with your support, I also had to rely on GoCoin support because of some transaction that was only supposed take 20 minutes.. Besides, it's bitcoin so who cares about verifying even if the buyer connects from Afghanistan? Its irreversable currency anyway..

    If there is something I can give feedback about.. Don't tell your customers to contact GoCoin.. you are the payment gateway.. I pay my fees so that you will contact and find out about the transaction behalf of me.. You have the same info as I do. Why do I have to create threads on GoCoin public forums and pray that some staff there would reply to me when you deal with them everyday anyways? Finding out about the state of transaction is your work anyway.. Seeing your support staff to direct me towards GoCoin support really made your entire opreation look dumb as hell. Even the GoCoin staff was wondering my question as all the info should be visible to the merchant.

    Thanks for the honest and transparent assessment, eilif.

    I'd like to apologize again for all the hassle that you went through. I wanted to expound on our system a bit but I realized I might only bore you with the details, so the gist of it is that our system is on an equilibrium of automated and manual process. The latter is where most of the mishap happens, but at the same time, it's the most integral process we have in place because we cannot leave checks and stuff like that into automated processes; these cycles require human intervention and judgement in order for our security to be firm an stable, but as such, can be prone to mistakes like that. For that, I'd like to sincerely apologize. I know full well that it isn't just money you involved in that transaction but also one of the world's most prime commodity: time.

    As for your advice about GoCoin, I'll be sure to pass it along to the team and we'll make sure to charge this to experience so that we may refine our processes and in improve them in the near future. We are sorry you had to go through all those loopholes to find an answer. As someone who has been with forums and communities, I can understand the frustration.

    In case you decide to use PlayerAuctions again, and if it's any consolation, know that I will be here to assist any way I can. I might only be here on business days but I make it an absolute certainty that I hear out any messages I receive and work on them in an orderly and timely manner.

    Since we're on the topic already, if you're a new member on Sythe and you are reading this here, chances are you signed up on Sythe to get support from PA. @video has given us the go ahead to provide support to members even without the 2 month membership requirement, but I'd also like to take this chance to ask you that if you signed up for that purpose, please consider being an active member here. I am providing support by using Sythe's facilities, and if we continue to have members who come and go only on the merit of gaining help from PA, then there will be a huge skew in terms of member numbers where the amount of newbies with zero post and participation will go up compared to older members.

    Sythe has been tremendously generous to us and we want to pay that back by having quality profiles on Sythe; not just ad hoc accounts seeking for help. So in that effect, consider using your account to participate in Sythe's other forum activities. That way, we can bring something back of value to Sythe and the community. :D
