DNT's Market Restriction

Well, i'm sure all my fans will come in with the no support comments fairly soon, cant wait xx

Gunna keep it short because I feel it's unlikely to be accepted but still want to try.
Unsure if it is in unallowed list, had a quick look for DNT and couldn't find anything.

I think DNT's should be able to see the market. There's no reason to not see the market.
Even when I wasn't DNT, I'd browse the market to keep up to date with shit in there even if I wasn't selling anything.

I can literally just log out and view the market the exact same way. Just make it so we can't post, I'm sure that isn't hard since you did it with PM's.

I don't see why we should make it easier for users who are viewed as a threat to the community to view the market which they are potentially dangerous to. If you want to use Sythe, stay logged in on your account and accept that you fucked up, and you can view it again once you've pardoned for your rule breaking

If that doesn't float ya boat, just use an incognito tab lol

Well I mean.. it's literally pointless to disallow just viewing.
I can log out, view, log back in
I can use another browser

It's not even an inconvenience I just think it should be allowed.

Considering my ban was what... 4 years ago or something.. I don't feel i'm a "threat" to the community, especially since there is no debts. I don't see a threat in viewing, we can't comment or post, we can't engage, no threat imo

 

If you want to view the market, then you should log out. No reason to reverse an imposing restriction that strengthens the purpose of the rank itself.

 

The whole point of a 'dnt' is to restrict the user the ability to partake in the market. So I don't see why that individual should be able to view the market. Stating that 'dnt's can't comment/post, therefore we can't engage' doesn't mean they can't add the potential customer on skype/discord and then engage with them.

The reasoning why you can view the market while not being a user is to incentive newcomer's to explore the website and potentially join the community, though that's just my opinion. By the way, DNT is supposed to be a form of punishment.

 

Yes, but if it's the fact that "i can add them on skype or discord" that would remove this suggestion, I could literally just log out and do that, even tho i'm a DNT. It doesn't matter, it's just more of a convenience to view it logged in.

It's not really changing anything.. Just making it easier to view. We still wouldn't be able to comment or post a thread, so I don't see any harm.

 

The point of the rank is to minimize convenience; lesson your comfort. Adds incentive to have it removed.

 

But it's not such a huge inconvenience? It takes literally .5 seconds to view the market, just log out, or open new browser, or incognito..
Like I don't think it's enough of an inconvenience to warrant it to be removed for DNT's completely.. Not being able to post is a huge inconvenience. I understand that part.

 

It shouldn't be about how big or small of an inconvenience it is, but that fact that it is one. It's bothered you by wanting to have it removed, so I'd say it is doing its job. If you want it removed, pay your debt(s) and pardon.

 

It should be just an extra inconvenience to incentive you to remove your dnt, It doesn't have to be a big or small one.

 

I mean.. I have no debts and I don't think it bothered me a shit tonne, I just wanted to see others opinions. I'd like to see other DNT's opinions. Especially ones with no debts.

 

Personally I don't think a ban for blackhat activity 4 years ago is enough to warrant a DNT, but back to topic >.<

 

It bothered you enough to create this thread. Paying a debt is just one of the prerequisites of having the rank removed, pardoning is the other.

Wanting to garner the opinion of others in the same boat as yourself serves no purpose. It would be like asking prisoners if they should get special privileges. If they have common sense, the consensus would be the same.

 

This 'suggestion' seems more like you are venting your frustration about your DNT.

I don't care if i'm DNT or not. I can simply log out and view the market. I can add peoples skypes and discords like said above. I am just making a suggestion. Will quite easily put you on that ignore list if you wanna be a spastic.

Why in the world would we make it easier for DNT users to view the market that they are not allowed to take part in.

It's a privilege DNT's should be working towards gaining back once they have received a pardon.

Support, seeing as most DNT members will use the market anyway and just not say who they are while trading.

DNT is meant to stop us from trading until we have sorted our shit out BUT what harm is there in us browsing.

DNT users will be perm banned if they trade...

I also think PM's should be allowed on the site for DNT's purely because information regarding matters can be sent to one another including advice on matters and also evidence/information you want to be private (posting on threads is allowed but not being able to message someone privately isn't, can someone explain the logic?)

Yes it acts as an incentive to have it removed, but is it really an incentive when u can log off and view the forum fully?

I think the Non Market User/DNT symbol warns the community not to trade with us pretty well and being banned if u trade is a good punishment (especially to those who do want to get back in the community)

Really do hope PM's and being able to browse the forum COMPLETELY is put in place!
