Im pretty sure this is a simple and straightforward thing. Don't allow signups via VPN/proxy IPs. We already require people to post from home IP but this requires manual detection from mods. Why not just stop it before it happens?

    Benefits:
-Effective solution to stop ban evaders from just hopping on their VPNs/proxies and creating new sythe accounts to scam people

False positives are too high. Lots of people sign up from a mobile phone or from a university for example and these often look like VPNs.

Isnt it possible to tell the difference from these though? For mobile phone anyways we'd still require them to post from home IP anyways afaik.

It's possible if a human looks at it. Automated process will always have too many false positives.

Multiple people already suggested something similar (including me like a year ago), always got declined for the above reason. Using the search option might be something handy to do.
