Hey man, welcome to Sythe, and yeah doing free services for vouches is pretty popular when starting out to build your reputation. The most popular, and easiest route is probably offering to do free quests / skilling services that aren't to tedious, but that you can manage, so you can build up your reputation, and who knows if people like your services they'll probably continue to use you in the future, which would be a great foundation for your business.

Just a heads up, if you want to look for a good graphics designer in the future to make you a nice signature, you can check out the Graphics Marketplace as there are tons of talented graphical designers there, and some even do work for free, so I recommend giving it a look.
