Scariest Thing in my Life these past 2/3 nights.

This is no meme, this really fucking happened. Legitimately the most terrifying thing I've ever been a part of (my life is pretty boring).

So two nights ago I hear this weird crunching noise outside of my apartment. My bedroom overlooks the back of the complex, so people being out there at any hour of the day is quite rare. It's just a grassy area that juts off into a church. I heard this noise around 2 AM, like someone or something was rustling around. Didn't think much of it. But as I get up to go to the bathroom, I instinctively glance out my window and see this big hulking shadow down below..just standing there. Well that was weird as fuck I think, but I figure ehh it's probably just a guy smoking some @Dank or something.

Didn't think much of it tbh. Within an hour after scaring myself shitless after seeing this figure I kind of just think meh whatever. Last night nothing happens.

But 20 minutes or so ago - it starts pouring. Thunder & Lightning. Not weather any normal human being would be outside in. What do I hear? The same exact rustling + crunching noises. Now heres where maybe the most terrifying thing that has ever happened in my life occurs - straight out of a horror movie, I look outside and see the figure again. But this time, lightning suddenly illuminates the dark area, and sure enough, I SEE A FUCKING DUDE JUST STANDING OUT THERE, probably like 5 feet from the window of the unit below me. I'm not sure if he saw me or not. But holy fuck. That was terrifying. The only theory I have is that the girl below me is being stalked by this guy, I hear a lot of yelling and arguing from that unit often. Was gonna ring the cops, but they're already here, so I'm guessing they already got tipped off to the peeping pig/tom/@Dank

No meme though that was the most terrifying fucking thing ever.

Anyway the NON Derik meme version: Yes this really happened - Cops were called. I talked to my neighbor down below, she's a victim of stalking + harassment, which I pretty much suspected already. Guy was breaking a restraining order, sounds like the cops found him hiding not too far away.

That was legitimately pretty damn terrifying. I live in a really quiet town so anything out of the ordinary is pretty easy to spot.

 

this happened to me and my sister once, only I was the one doing all the peeping, was pretty crazy!

 

Legit though in the moment it was creepy af, that lightning reveal of the guy almost made me soil my diaper. Honestly if the cops didn't come and I didn't know who or what that was, I wouldn't be sleeping tonight.

These are the days I appreciate a non ground level apartment. If I was on ground floor and I saw a figure just standing there, would move immediately assuming I didn't die bloody.
