What do you do for fun in Runescape?

As the title states.

Recently just got back to the game and trying a bit of everything! Let me know what you do in your spare time for fun*

 

CW is too much fun for me, probably the only time I do have fun in game TBH

Getting good drops bossing is fun too, gonna start the pet grind soon

 

I think PKing with a few friends is one of the best things you can do!

 

To this end, is Runescape even about fun? Or more-so about accomplishment, then?

 

Staking can be quite enjoyable. Especially if you end up winning a lot, it's a great feeling and you feel like you're actually accomplishing something.

 

I have to disagree, staking ultimately leads to disappointment and regret. That's not something I would get into imo. In some respect, it is the same as going to a casino irl and not all people are rational about it.

 

I like skilling for some profit or doing some kind of boss (crazy archaeologist, bandos, mole, corp, etc.)

 

For me Runescape is about accomplishment, but the road to achievement is where I take my fun from

Yeah, but do you still enjoy it on a losing streak? If OP has not started staking yet, I don't think he should start. Not a lot of people have the ability to stake moderately and often stake beyond their means.

 

I have never competitively staked before; nor is the account I am making suitable for it. Though, I do find the idea fun, to really maximize my chances of winning, I probably would have to start a new account for it, which I do not plan to do.

With that said, I do appreciate the input on people find, or rewarding, about this game.

Currently, I am just trying out every stat the game has to offer, as a way to break up the monotony of leveling combat skills.

And, yeah, that totally makes sense! I had to farm for hours on end yesterday to get my Mith defender for my account (initiate pure, remember!) and I felt a sense of accomplishment when I finally saw it drop, especially because it took me almost 1000 warrior tokens just to see the bronze one (I must have had the work rng luck on that one, because the next three came relatively swiftly).

 

Me personally, I don't have fun anymore, I just stake and gamble and complain how I am going to quit every week or two, but then I always come back the next day.

There is nothing really fun in osrs unless you are gambling or pking for a lot of money, I haven't ever really liked anything to do with any sort of welfare.

The TRUTH.

 

i recently started a hardcore iron man, and i've found it enjoyable recently.

Cheating / RWT ruins the game really, once you have the ability to have money without working hard for it the game gets boring, same goes for staking really, once people have taste of that ability to have alot of money with little effort, they dont want to do anything else

 

I honestly just enjoy skilling, and doing so efficiently - hence my powerleveling service The main I sold at the back end of 2016 was ~2232 total and peaked at top 300 on the hiscores on 07.

Some of my 07 achievements:
- 25 x 99s across all accounts
- 62m Hunter XP across 4 accounts, highest of 30m on my main mentioned above
- 500m+ XP across all 07 accounts, highest of ~330m
- 500+ Quest Points
- Zulrah and Chompy pets

I'll probably start another account sometime this year but for now it's building stakers and walking around on shitty tutorial island mules!

EDIT: Also had a level 3 ironman skiller at one point which I managed to get to 1150+ total level. 1 x 99 (Hunter) and several skills 75+

 

I disagree with this, RWT rekindled my interest in OSRS because i could buy high tier gear i dont have the time to grind anymore, and i can dump gold into stats like prayer I never thought id be able to level. Plus with said gold, you can do raids and bosses without much fear.
