@Sythe told me to go ahead and make this thread for community input on whether or not the logo needs changing

Back when we had the new logo competition in 2012-13, the current logo you see in the top left ended up winning. However, I figured I would bring back up my entry for the competition as I think it supplies a happy medium between a simplistic logo and a detailed, handcrafted one and bringing on some change is never a bad thing. Anyways here they are:

Really soft and rounded for the current layout of Sythe imo.

 

I like it a lot better than the current one. Personally, I like simplistic designs better. The current one is too fancy for me.

The old logo is nostalgic, however I really do like the new idea & sometimes things need to be updated I'm happy either way but wouldn't mind seeing the change

I don't like your version. Kind of looks like I'm opening the site to kindergarten/nursery class. I prefer the current one but I don't mind a change if the right one comes about.

Also agree with @jackthehackm8 @GenstarJ can we bring back edited sythe logos per holidays/events. Would of been great to see something about gen election, or anything around world occurrences etc

 

I like the current one better. Looks more suited to a "black market" as such. The one you've made (don't get me wrong, it looks good), looks too childish for the site.

 

@Alteranz had the best design then and still has the best one now. That background is sweet too.

I like the new one. Both new versions look great.

And I'd really like for there to be logo changes for holidays/events.

 

The one Alternanz made without a doubt, very nice looking.

Kina's background + logo (the current setup) is good but I'm starting to get a little tired of now to be fair.

I think Alt's one + background is the new one to go to. Maybe maybe the logo a little larger though @Alteranz
