Sticky "What to do if the account you buy gets recovered"

Make a sticky in all the Runescape account forums for what to do if the account you buy gets recovered.
Include the jagex support twitter and their email - I know for a fact they will look into accounts to see if they are being bought/sold and ban them
What it will do: Make scammers more cautious of selling their account, as it will possibly be banned

 

The idea of this is fine, I'm just starting to get hesitant of approving of every single sticky suggestion.

There are some market forums now with 10+ stickys, this is hurting the market when you have such quick display times then second page because instead of 10 market threads, its 10 stickys.

Accounts forum is ranging from 4-5, this would make it 6, there needs to be reasonable caps kept though, the account market is one of the more active and you figure with 6 stickys your essentially reducing visibility of market threads by 20% to every user.

I support but gotta keep the stickys amount reasonable.

 

Valid point, maybe remove this sticky List of accounts NOT to purchase; click to report recovered accounts! as it has 500 views in 3 years, and the price check one

 

I don't support this as it could encourage people to do this even to people who haven't scammed if they're able to get a hold of peoples account names.

@Bus369 I think we are going to be merging all stickies into one thread pretty soon in all the markets or at least try to for most of them.

Yeah, we're trying to clean up the stickies right now.
We'll be updating all current stickies also, so a lot of of newer information will be available to everyone.

 

Looking up stats, also with this info public people who use this site to trade could risk being reported at a greater percentage than they already were at.

Although it might come across some peoples minds as common sense not everyone is aware of it, it's dangerous information to have public and if the wrong group of people come across it something pretty bad could come out of it.

 

If it's common sense, wouldn't a group have abused this long ago? Will a Sythe sticky really encourage such behavior? This is really basic/practical information which has long been used/known about. Not saying I support this suggestion, but this excuse defies basic reasoning.

I don't think a specific sticky for this is needed. We can maybe add this to some of our existing stickies but as someone above mentioned, we're constantly fixing up the forum stickies.
