Why is murder wrong?

Assuming your stance on the subject is "right", I don't see how you can justify taking one's life and thinking that it's not a wrong thing to do, when you should be rotting in jail somewhere.

 

I think self-defense is classified differently than murder.

 

You'd still be ending their life. But that's context, this is focusing solely on the concept of murder.

 

You've obviously been brainwashed. Try explaining why it's wrong to murder... if you don't question the things in your life, you'll remain ignorant.

And as I said before, he isn't saying murder is right, so don't assume that. He is hinting that murder may be neither right nor wrong, for those things may not exist.

Anyways. Why is murder wrong?
Life is a gift to everyone, and everyone should be entitled to live it to it's fullest without deliberate interference or endangerment from others.
When you end another persons life, you're taking away that gift.

You believe people have rights? Everything a human dose is basically based on living. You don't want to jump off a bridge, why? because you will die. Get hurt, you could die somehow. If a individual wants to live, why doesn't he have the right to? The answer you are seeking is not complicated, Because its their life, not yours.

To me, this is actually a pretty easy question, but there's corruption in my answer - No man should be allowed to have the power to take another's life away. It's savage, really

Feeling, or emotions, are based upon certain chemicals.
Thought isn't known exactly.
Action is what we choose to do.

Now, if there was a nuclear blast nearby your house, and your body was literally vaporized, would your soul survive it?

 

Ya, if you believe in God, you believe your soul wouldn't die with your body.
And if you don't believe in God, would you not believe that the soul is some sort of metaphorical construct?
Or is there some sort of science to the soul?
