Skype vs Discord

Although I like discord much better than skype, all my business is there, so I tend to you use skype much more often, as opposed to discord where I just talk in the general chat

I like Discord better because you can't get scammed by imposters, even though you can have them verify it's you by getting a PM. sometimes scammers get clever and tricky

 

Discord is the way of the future.

Stopped using skype completely. Always hated that ugly GUI and it slows my PC down. Also, always hated the fact that clicking the 'X' minimizes it and doesn't close it.

 

I think discord is better but a lot of people still use skype which is why i still use it atm.

 

Discord is alright, I'm still not really used to it though.

I prefer skype currently because that's where all my business takes place.

 

Skype is more personal, anyday, except the fear of getting hacked through it.

Skype is literally ass shit but you know just my opinion

 

I completely left skype alone. It's the only way to get people to switch.

 

Discord has Skype beat in every way you can think of. People still use Skype because other people still use it. That's essentially the bottom line.

 

Skype is a lot easier to use for a lot of things. When I middleman a trade for example I follow the official template and send a bit of the conversation with my PM to both traders. On Skype this is no problem and it will shows up nice and clean in the PM. When you do the same on Discord though its a mess. Another reason why I prefer to use Skype is because I feel like Discord is at the moment only used by ban evaders; cant find a banned account linked if you use Discord instead of Skype.

Overall Skype is much more easy and user friendly.

 

Discord is better for group conversations and managing a community, skype is better for professionalism and has become the norm for business for a reason. I don't see discord replacing skype, they fill very different needs.

 

Discord is awesome, but i'm still more into skype

 

Skype does everything I need, don't really have a reason to switch over tbh.

Discord audio is scratchy for me so i prefer skype mostly, even for games

 

Discord all the way, it's very more organized.

 

Both are very good programs for text/voice communication. They kinda do the same thing, just different styles, as discord is more for group chatting it seems.
