Last time they did that, we said that if they're going to do that, they should at least get a vote from the community to see which games they want repeated. But that didn't happen. Oh well

I definitely agree with the first part of your post, but I disagree with the second part.

We gave feedback to CDT last time they repeated a game on the feedback thread, and it's fair to expect that the community's feedback would be listened to for the Community Development Team.

 

TTB lol. Not sure why you're saying "we" when you were the only one to complain about a repeating a game. If you have suggestions for upcoming games feel free to post them on the CDT Feedback thread!

Considering it was a post in a feedback thread and not its own thread, I considered that enough to consider it a 'we'. Additionally, in the game thread itself, there were a decent number of people bringing it up as well.

John, you're repeating part of the problem we had this summer. When your group gets feedback, the reaction shouldn't be to shut it down and say that it's completely off base or drama filled. Instead, it should be to take in the feedback and see how it can be used to improve for the future. That's especially important for the Community Development Team because you're essentially shutting down any input from the Community. If the goal of the team isn't to make people enjoy and feel able to participate in discussions in the Community and is instead the exact opposite, why are you called the Community Development Team?

 

Please do not put words in my mouth, TTB. No one is "shutting it down" or saying it's "completely off base". All I said was that you were the only one to complain about the repeating game on the CDT feedback thread. That is a fact.

You are literally the only one to post the complaint on the CDT feedback thread. It's almost as if you're under the assumption that when you suggest something, it must be implemented. That's not how it works, TTB. You know that.

I honest to god hope you're trolling with this. No one is shutting down input from the community LMAO.

 

Hey mate I know me and some others are trying our best to promote new stuff for the community. It's in the works but taking some time. I promise you some of us are doing the best we can with limited accessibility without stepping on leader/other staffs toes.

Alright, I guess you're going to ignore the beginning of my post. And yes, talking down to someone is shutting down discussion. No, I'm not saying when I (or anyone) suggests something, it must be implemented. But having the appearance that the feedback of the Community is meaningful should be really, really important for the Community Development Team.
