[Food] Taco Bell - Naked Chicken Chips Review

I try to warn myself that I know what I will and won't like. Some items fall into the "maybe" category. Despite knowing this didn't belong there, I put it there anyways.

Price Paid: $1.99 for six nuggets and cheese sauce.



I took a few bites of these with no cheese. I nearly wanted to throw up because my brain wasn't triggered for microwave chicken nuggets. They were a bit soggy in texture. Fellow reviewers stated that the seasoning was good... and I just think everyone who likes this kind of nuggets / Jack in the Box / Wendy's style of nuggets are the same people who eat microwaved chicken nuggets. Those frozen kind, you know.

That's exactly what these tasted like. Frozen, Banquet / Tyson nuggets. EXCEPT WORSE???? HOW. They're magical.

Some people. When it comes to nuggets, McDonald's is king. If you call the Chic-Fil-A ones nuggets, then those are great too. Otherwise, chicken in nugget form isn't found much elsewhere.

Btw, Taco Bell's new rice is a bit better tasting. Their shredded chicken was too, but I think it tastes like overseasoned chicken that you find in tubs of precooked chicken.

1/5 - I'd take any other nuggets, including BK and Jack in the Box, over these. At least those would come with a better sauce.

I had this thought when I tried it too. Had a bit of a Burger King nugget vibe to it as well. I bought the $5 Naked Chip box to try it and was highly disappointed as well. Definitely won't be getting it again.

 

Hmm it wasn't watery at all. Their cheese sauce is whatever.. standard nacho cheese goop.

Tastes like a McChicken is a joke because I compare all bad chicken to McChickens. Glad you agree with me, though. The naked chicken chalupa shell had more of a McChicken taste. This one was 1000% worse than a McChicken so I cannot compare it.
