    Discord > Skype

I'm going to be switching over to Discord only very soon.

Too many problems with skype, especially regarding imposters and security.

Discord is cool, but it depends on convenience if I all the people I need to contact switch to it.

I like Discord much more than Skype now and i'm so glad I switched to it.

I've been using it for around 2 weeks now and I already have over 120 users in my discord, makes business much easier to conduct.

Plus being able to have 2fa on Discord just adds that extra layer of security. (Not sure if Skype offers that)

I like discord but I'm too used to Skype to switch. Have all my contacts there so it's easier to simply keep communicating/trading that way. Mind you, I'm not a big seller like many people here so I don't have problems with imposters.

Works fine for me. I'll go with Skype.

Not sure how Discord Imposters would work as they have to be in the same server to be able to speak to you.

In the very least I guess It's good that on discord your user ID is random 4 numbers. This stops people from being able to do crap like:

    Real name- Live: Fishy.22.2
    Imposter- Live: Fishy.222.

That's true tbh it may reduce imposter scams but general scams will increase and this is because in discord, you can delete a message and it's like it was never there.

Imagine someone making a report and they go back and see that the message with the other users BTC address is just gone. What is the victim gonna do now? Atleast on skype it says if a message was deleted.

    Oh dude. Thats true.

    Good lord.

Actually I'm pretty sure on discord servers you can make it so that messages can't be deleted/edited.

    Right?

    Discord would be used solely for general communication, Sythe pm for the business;

Lets also take in the fact that Discord users can't be doxxed like skypers.

Idk about servers but usually I just do DMs.

Barely anyone uses sythe PMs to converse for the entirety of a trade because it's so slow.

Who knows, if people start using discord more, resolvers will come out.

Newcomers prob won't do this though, since they are more familiar with Skype or discord. And let's be honest, there are more newcomers then vets.

I like discord way better than skype, easy to use, organized, nice push to talk, dont have to hear background noise from everyone you talk to.

But I do like skype better for business stuff, as skype logs stay for a long time, and can't be deleted like discord.
