they are actually given publicity as a form of reward but i wouldn't mind seeing this implemented tbh.

The "donation" is rewarded with advertisement. The people who "donate" to the CDT are actually sponsoring the event, and have their name plastered on everything. If anything it's a more effective way of advertisement than being on the top or the bottom of the site pages imo, since people viewing the CDT threads will actually notice the banners. I don't know about anyone else, but I personally ignore the banners up at the top / bottom of the pages when the elements aren't blocked, but always take notice of who is going out of their way to help out the Sythe community in the CDT threads.

I haven't paid much attention to the CDT or PR team lately, but if they're still trying to do that raffle shit where they get normal members to fund their events and advertisements they should stop. That should come from donation $$$ to this site, not out of the pockets these events are meant to benefit.

 

I hate to say it but I've sponsored 4 events total and only sold to 2 people from those events, I made like $5 back out of $350+ spent.

I can track literally down to the precise thread and image they clicked due to google analytics.

Sponsorship of CDT stuff needs more perks- I personally have no interest what-so-ever in sponsoring anymore unless something changes.

It's not worth it, numbers don't lie and I can see exactly who is coming from what area of sythe down to individual threads, they don't do shit tbh when sponsoring.

There is a certain branding factor sure, but when you only make literally 1/50th of what you spent back, you've got problems, no branding is remotely worth such an immense spread.
