(before you read know that I'm not religious in ANY way)
Well I was just watching South Park and it made me think -
    Is christianity backwards?
Like I mean we always hear about all these things that God does, he brings judgement, he let his son be killed, etc. Then, christianity states that satan is the villain here. Well, what'd he/she do? We never hear about evil things satan does, only he dwells in hell. Well, then we have God - The almighty being, the big man upstairs. He's the doode that basically controls everything, including death. He takes lives away from people when it's needed, or actually lets them be taken away. Who's really evil? A big red man who lives in the underworld who we never hear about or really the angelic lord who watches over us in the skies?

well most christians beleive in a battle between good and evil ill explain.
before the earth was created satan (luscifer A.K.A the angel of light) decieded that he should be equal to god, him and some of his followers beleived this and so God sent created hell, when god made earth and humans we were destined to live with god in the garden and never die, the only condition was that we could not eat of the fruit from the tree of good and evil. satan then tempted eve to take the fruit and she did then gave it to adam and thus brought sin and death into the world, and now whenever were tempted to do wrong its satan on our shoulder once more

    (ps nice sig scream)

You must assume that Satan is evil, because he's against God. By definition, that's evil.

I dunno. A small uninformed side of me would prefer hell to heaven. Heaven is god's real home, and sin is prohibited there.

But I love sin so much. That's why I registered here (Sythe: Did Someone Say Cheating?).

God banished Lucifer after Lucifer wanted to be as powerful as God. He wanted power and fame over all others, so he could make a name for himself. Backwards logic? Well I could call your logic that of a three year old if you actually get such a deep idea from a show such as South Park.

You say we never see or hear of the devil or Satan. Look around you, the devil is more present in the world than he's ever been.

The devil does a whole bunch of things throughout the Bible. And what you say is the most random thing ever. Maybe there isn't any gravity just a force in the sky pushing us down? o_O Basically what your saying.

It is not backwards. It talks about Satan all the time and the dark doings of him. But you have to think "out of the box," and not take tips from south park.

South Park's interpretation of Satan and Hell is VERY "out of the box." Being inside the box just means you think of Hell as being bad and uncomfortable.

On a side note - heaven seems like an impossibility for me. It's supposed to be everything good. But who defines what is good?

    God.

Unfortunately, my idea of good and God's idea of good rarely coincide...

If you read the bible you would know. The media mocks Christians to make it look like the bible makes no sense, yet they know nothing about it.

    No. Loose.

He portrayed no understanding of the bible in any way therefore did not have a valid argument.
