What Sort Of Things Did You Make When You Started VB?

Well im trying to learn VB for my College course as some of you may know....but i don't have a very good imagination so therefore i find it hard to think of things to make... So this is where i ask for your help

Please will you:

1. Give me ideas (Not too hard, im still a beginner)

2. Look and see if you have any of the old things you made and upload the source here (So i can look at it if im stuck)

3. Be Nice

1. Make a simple word processor, should get you familiar with saving text and oepnning it, so basically teaches you more about text handling. For images, try making a paint program, simple of course...If you're okay with making a couple RS applications, try basic ones like autotypers and autoclickers (etc.). Once you've done that, you could most likely look into making a RS client.

Calculator, like the windows one.
Teaches:
If statements / Select Case
Using operations (+,-,*, / etc)


Dice Roller
Teaches:
Random number generating
Int() command
More If statements


Also, I managed to find my 'old' programming tasks from a while ago.

Here are two zips, they ONLY contain .doc files, so it's not against the rules. Try to follow some of these, only look at the 'answers' if you really get stuck.

Im making simple games now you should start out doing those they really help. as coLzy said im making a runescape client right now its in my sig.

 

Can't remember what I did when I used VB6. When I started Java I made a Steam Account Manager, and when I started C# I jumped in to XNA Games.

Vb though ...

I hear MSDN is a great place to learn. Not sure that it has the VB6 libs in the online version those.
