make it so only one person can use a sythe token in discord

Considering it is the official discord now, I do think that users should not be using the same sythe token. However this has not been addressed so I dont think anyone should be punished for it until a ruling (or not) is implemented.

Same premise as generating an authentication code on Duo from my experience (except rather than for log in its used for verification of Sythe account in the channel). I used it on Discord to verify my account rather than PM'ing to be verified for example, dunno if that's the extent of its use for now or not.

 

Sythe tokens can be used for authenticaton on Sythe. When authenticated, it returns basic information about the authenticated user. A Sythe token cannot be used to get access to any sensitive information about Sythe users.

So it can be used to verify if a certain user owns a Sythe account or not. It is currently being used by the Shinbot to allow for automatic account verification.

 

Who are you and what have you done with Kiro? Kiro would never use "it's" instead of "its". I'll be starting an investigation shortly.

OT: I support because tokens are used for verification purposes, and users abusing it in this way defeats the purpose of verification.

 

I can create a table to store user information in if you'd like.

I've been considering getting rid of ShinBot altogether as well, but creating and having a verification bot in the channel. This is mostly to prevent flooding within the main text channel (and others sometimes too).
