Being in the aerospace engineering field now which is incredibly competitive, cutthroat (to a degree), and highly pressurized, it sounds so lame but this website did actually prepare me well for it. It also taught me to manage my money a lot better and take note of all angles of your finances. I don't take things as seriously as I did two years ago. I still have a hard time accepting mistakes, especially on a personal level, but I'm better about it now.

I have to agree with the 2012 sentiments as well. 2012 was just an enjoyable year. 2011-2012 I remember Sythe being incredibly lively and I agree from the period 2007-2012 I felt like staff was an incredibly sought after and honorable position. Didn't have the same zest by the time I got it but given the prestige it carried it's definitely a big reason why I took it so seriously.

Hopefully we can rekindle that fire someday. I felt like the 2015 community was still pretty damn good actually. OSRS was booming and bringing in a lot of new people. I feel like the market is really strong in 2017 but the community aspect has undoubtedly and unarguably stagnated. I wish I could offer solutions to fixing that but I cannot tbh.

I didn't agree with Andy's discord messages being brought up on his application but on the improsonment part I hope you're not serious because if you're I think you might actually be retarded.

 

No really racists slurs are not much in comparison to being a pedo. Racially motivated other things is different. I.E. going up to a black person and saying the n word being abusive, but talking in context where it is not a big issue like the discord and not intended to offend any person.

Yes I am, but really if you're allowed as staff Andy shouldn't have been restricted from becoming staff based on being an apparent racist. What happens in discord or the spam forum shouldn't dictate how a person would be as staff.
