[Food] Potbelly - "A Wreck" Sub Sandwich Review

I had always been really close to trying Potbelly in the past. I always said "forget it, I'll get Subway / Jersey Mikes / Which Wich / Quizno's / Thunderclouds / Jimmy John's instead." But what if I had been missing out!?!@#?!?

Price Paid: $0 With the Potbelly app, but the sub is $5.30 and the cookie is $1.35





Here it is. They apparently have a one size fits all model here. They toast all of the subs by default I believe, and one of these meats tasted like bacon for some reason. The rest of the meats, well... tasted like Oscar Mayer. Or worse. I really don't like the taste of OTC lunchmeats. Subway at least has a unique taste, so I'd rate this place lower than Subway.

The bread left much to be desired, and I even got the white bread for maximum flavor. All I could taste was bread and a little bit of cheap meat. All seasonings and the peppers were lost in this sub.

They did have some hipster old books and musical sheets, so there's that.

Also, the cookie looked half-baked and half-assed. It wasn't very great either but it was easily the best part of my meal.

High 1/5. Never, ever again. No regrets on not going here before.
Cookie would get a low 2/5. I don't think they made that thing correctly.

Place was empty except one woman who picked up two huge bags at 4 pm.

honestly i don't know who the fuck you think you are when there are sandwiches in africa that would fucking die to be able to be a sandwhich in your country

 

The fact that you still go to Quiznos and get ripped off by Jersey Mike's outrageous prices makes me dubious of you sandwhich reviews.

 

The taste more than makes up for the price at both of those places. There's usually a correlation. Jersey Mike's slices their meats and cheeses per sandwich and it tastes divine. I don't know, maybe you need another Jersey Mikes sample.

 

To be honest the best places to get a god sandwich is either your local mom and pop deli, or a local mom and pop owned Italian restaurant.

 

I have one of those close by. The problem is that I'm a broke college student and those places tend to be more expensive, so you can't really beat 5$ footlongs at Subway for filling you up.

 

I went to one like 3 times and despite the super high reviews.. every time it was very meh. But then again, it was kinda sketchy location. There's a few local places I plan on going but most are just Boar's Head meat assemblers. If I wanted that, I'd just buy some at the store and make an orgasmic sandwich myself. I had a cafeteria club sandwich using Boar's Head and store brand stuff.. I was sketched out when I bought it but my goodness it was one of the best sandwiches I had.

When will I receive my juicey prizes?

 

Really? Are you at Uni? If so then of course they are gona mark up their prices. But i mean like back at home not near the Uni's.

 

For me, both locations are expensive. It makes sense because the local stores can't mass purchase product in bulk so their prices will generally be more expensive than a gargantuan like Subway.

For example, at a local sandwhich shop, the sandwhich will be much tastier, but be 3/4 the size and cost almost double as a Subway sandwhich. They can't compete with Subway due to the sheer volume that subway can buy and their cost minimization when purchasing goods.

 

I've been on a kick with any sandwiches with sweet peppers and banana peppers
