    Frustration...

As you can probably tell I'm very new to this website, but I had a few questions and some clarification would really be nice seeing as I'm out $110 and a playable account. I filed my claim on the forum, and the guy that scammed me got banned, but so what? He got what he wanted, and I'm ruined. I sold my other account to pay for this one (stupid I know) but now I can't afford to buy a new one, and I sure as hell don't want to start an entire new account...

So why is there a 6 month account activity to even be considered to be reimbursed? I have valid proof of everything, and I just wanna play the game...I get it, there are rules and what not, but they seem counter-intuitive. They only protect account sellers, not first time buyers. The man that I bought it from was a donator (if I remember correctly) and I believe he had a few vouches and the account was two years old! literally everything about your system made it seem safe. Again I just want to play the game and I'm very frustrated.

They're not going to reimburse you. You just have to be cautious in who you trust. Everyone gets scammed.

The Sythe staff is not responsible for their owner's silly actions. If they were Sythe would most likely no longer exist anymore because I think there is more money scammed by users than donated. You can't put the blame on the Sythe staff. That would be like blaming the police when you got robbed because they could have prevented it. Only difference there is you usually get something refunded, but to be a candidate for a refund you'd have to be paying the insurance like once every month. Sythe is a free market and sadly some people take it to the extremes so they can get a few hamburgers for free.

What you could do is make a post here with the right format:
Been scammed? Post your valid scam report here.

I think youre all misunderstanding the point of the post. I didn't blame staff or anything, I was asking about a specific rule. More specifically the six month rule. I was asking about why they protect "sellers" and people that use the account to make money, but not the people that buy their products, the reason this site exists...

There is protection for people buying the account just a lot of people don't tend to read it and just quick buy an account,

    example
Accounts are ALWAYS recoverable, even with a Middleman/Recovery Test!

As in terms of refunds, there can't be insurance sythe is not an insureance company it's a Blackmarket forums.

Fair points indeed. But no one has answered the original question. Why the six months?

    Frustration...

I think literally everyone missed the point of the question.

Cutter, I'm not sure if there's a specific answer for that but I guess the most logical one would be this: As you probably know, for every few successful virtual-item transactions that occur on Sythe (or any other place, really) there's an unsuccessful one where someone gets scammed or somehow screwed over. Sad thing is, more often than not, not knowing or willfully ignoring Sythe rules/recommendations is what results in someone being scammed. This being said, and as you yourself acknowledged, the staff team is not responsible for these events, regardless of how hard they try to help avoid it.
As you know, a 'system' was implemented where there's a chance that scam victims get repaid with money/funds received from banned users who are looking to get pardoned/back into the community, in part by repaying their outstanding debts.

So, to finally get to your question, I think there's a couple of reasons behind the 6 month rule, but mainly the fact that it primarily looks to repay those loyal members who've been part of the community for a while, over those who've just joined and not necessarily the most deserving of such privilege. Not only this, but there are users who were scammed months, if not years ago who've never had the chance of getting repaid, thus making it unfair if there was no sense of priority in terms of who's eligible for this privilege. Finally, a lot of things can happen in the weeks/months after a scam, like the reporting user getting banned, getting repaid by scammer, etc.

It's just more efficient and fair to everyone the way that it's currently designed.
