Enable DNT Users to PM Staff Members

Just before I begin, I would like you to know that I absolutely apprehend the directive behind the DNT rank.

• DNT users cannot PM other users.

Obviously this is mandatory to avert DNT users from engaging in market activity but I find it silly that DNT users cannot PM staff members. One could argue that you could interact with a staff member outside of Sythe (I.e Skype/Discord, etc.) but it comes to when you don't have those applications handy.

Support it's a good idea especially as a lot of admins keep their Skype private (for obv reasons). I actually thought this wasn't implemented because of a good reason otherwise this should definitely be done.

 

Definitely should be implemented. No reason not to have that ability.

 

Adding to this, some admins/staff are hard to even contact on discord too, so if this can be implemented I support for sure.

 

no support. you're dnt for a reason you have nothing important to say that will change your status until you pardon.

 

Believe the reason this wasn't done was because they thought DNT's would just annoy staff members in PM. Most staff are in the discord anyways, I don't see how it is really necessary but doesn't effect me so.

 

It has nothing to do with a DNT wanting to change their status.

 

This seems like a very logical suggestion, I'll leave it open for a bit for additional input then move it to sl where we can have admins/richard/matthew look at it

 

This was implemented almost immediately after the approval of the DnT concept because it was feared with the huge influx of DNT's that staff members would be spammed non stop by them.

Now that DnT is more regulated and u don't have 20 appearing a day, I don't see why this cannot be changed.

I'd love to have this implemented. Contacting users with DNTs is quite difficult and vice-versa.

Denial was based on mass clean-up of suggestions section (I did not see any explicit no in that thread).

 

i dont know if we have block a user from pming you feature but that would stop the spamming of staff

i support would be useful, expecially with pardons disputes and reports and infractions so dnt users can pm the mods handling their case easier and faster. could only see it really used for sending sensitive info, or getting in contact with the mod who infracted you. but then again im new and could be overlooking lots of other uses for it lol
