N4n0 aka Ryan sadly passed away recently and this thread is to pay tribute to him and all the hard work and time he put into Sythe.org.

We were going to do this on behalf of staff but it's good to also have other members opinions. Thanks @Bus369

 

I got acquainted with n4n0 about 6 years ago when he middlemanned a very large trade for me ($6,000+ total value). Since that time, I've had the pleasure of working with him on the staff team here and while he contributed immensely to the staff team that's not what I'll be focusing on. What I would like to recognize is his character. n4n0 was dealing with some hardships but he didn't take advantage of his reputation here to steal from or harm others. Many lesser men in his position would have certainly done so but that just wasn't the kind of person that he was. He will be missed greatly

 

When I joined few years ago I was a nobody like majority of the newcomers. Ryan was always there helping me with minor queries despite it honestly being a waste of his time.
I remember watching his streams all the time and every time I would join he would always make time to talk with me. He didn't care who you were or where you were from, he was genuine and a very caring person.

Like Video mentioned above he has had great character and I could never imagine this happening by how things were once upon a time. I will really miss him. Rest well Ryan.

 

Both of you left too soon. I wish that there were some way of us to have helped both n4no and Lame. Regardless of the fact that I was not close to either of you, I can speak on behalf of the community and Lame's/n4no's friends when I say that when a close friend leaves us, a piece of our hearts is forever missing. Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same when they are gone. The loss of a friend is the greatest of losses.


Both of you were iconic within the Sythe community, gone but never to be forgotten.

To anyone going through dark times or struggles.

I cant say I have had the pleasure of speaking to Ryan, but from what I have seen and heard he was an amazing guy (this thread is an example). It's a shame to see that he has gone like this and my apologies go out to his close family and friends.

 

Ryan I used to sit on Skype calls for hours playing games like Realm Of the Mad God and jokingly staking on Runescape while just laughing and having a great time. Seriously n4n0 was a character and he was such an easy person to joke around and laugh with.

Alteranz & video both nailed one thing about n4n0. He was really a genuine individual. There is a specific moment where I remember n4n0 telling me a story that really showed me who he was and the morals he stood by.

As our friendship developed, Ryan openly admitted to me about the pardon he had submitted years back and the scam and how it actually occurred. I know this was public knowledge, but what shocked me most was how he went about telling me the story. A lot of users here have been pardoned and returned as great people, a lot of those people are staff/were staff in the past. People make mistakes, people joke about those mistakes and they learn and move on from them. When n4n0 told me about the scam and what he did, he didn't show an ounce of humor or find it at all to be a joke. He still, 3 years later, felt horrible about what he did even after repaying the individual and giving him extra for his trouble. He couldn't even smile when he talked about the incident, he didn't care that he made the mistake and had grown from it. Ryan truly believed in honesty and integrity and no one can ever claim otherwise. He really was a man who believed in justice and fairness.

I spent a while yesterday looking through some FB photos and some chatlogs between us. Even the night it all happened things just seemed fine, he was with friends, laughing and drinking. I'm seriously going to miss him, the world really did lose a great soldier, son, husband, and friend.

 

I cried, I'll admit it. It saddens me greatly to read what I've read today. My thoughts are with Trin, Frank and the rest of his family. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Ryn0, you better be wearing a shoe on your head wherever you may be, rest in peace.

I met N4n0 back in early 2011. I was on a mission to find a way to move bulk gold, prior to that it was just friends I was selling too, and I came across N4n0 and he put me onto Sythe.org. He put me in the right direction of Video at first. Quickly i realized that N4n0 was a good friend and asset to have, and he joined our clan temporarily and helped push the sales of gold to the skies, which in turned made a group of us realize the full potential of what we could become and how profitable the clan we had was.
I contribute a large portion of my success and others to N4n0, without him I don't think we would have made it to where we had gotten. He was the link in the chain that connected a lot of people.

I know many people on this site have different views of him as he had changed overtime, but that's not the person I knew or met in 2011.

 

Oh man... I literally got the goosebumps when I opened this thread to find out a good friend whose helped me out every since I've joined this community. Despite how busy he was, n4n0 always helped me out with whatever situation I was in and I'm forever thankful for that. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

Definitely had my differences with Ryan while I was on staff, but this hurts a lot to hear. Rest in peace my friend.

I didn't really know N4N0 at all really aside from messaging him on Skype when I first joined. It's evident that the vast majority of people did in fact like him. From what I've seen and from all the comments, I assume he was also a great asset to the site.

To be honest I almost feel rude commenting on the thread as I never knew N4n0 personally however I used to watch him stream when I started getting into csgo and finding out he died at such a young age has stunned me and I hope his mind is at rest now

I never had a personal encounter with him as he was more of a legend when I was on Sythe in my earlier years. I remember seeing him and thinking, "damn, I definitely don't want to get in his way." Over time, I realised he wasn't as scary as he seemed. He was definitely a good guy who put up with a lot, and genuinely cared for the site & others. Unfortunately I never had the chance to be blessed to have known such a special guy on a personal level.

I just hope he's happy wherever he is. I wish for the easiest of days to come for all his friends & family who are hurting.

Remember: too late often comes too soon, so reach out to those who you think may be hurting even if you think it may be a misguided approach - better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you for posting this here. I did not appreciate the insensitive and inappropriate behavior that was allowed in the SF.

Everything I knew of Ryan led me to believe he was a stand-up and nice guy. I can see those that actually knew him felt the same.

Hearing some of the stories of people here excessively trolling and/or humiliating him makes me really ashamed of those people and to be a part of a community that supports that behavior. I've said this here and there on this forum. You may think it's all fun and games and memes, but your actions do hurt people, whether they laugh it off or not. Some people are much more sensitive. I don't know if Sythe members had a role to play in his passing through that behavior, but again it deeply shames me to think there's a chance they did.

You all know where the line is. Don't fuck with people over that line. It's a fucking disgrace. To think some of you still dance on that line and even Ryans GRAVE, sickens me. Take his place and then see if you're in the mood to laugh/troll.

Once again, I hope however he passed, it was painless and peaceful. I'm sure there'll be many that miss him.

 

I watched your csgo streams from time to time. I never would've thought this would ever haplen RIP.
