The rules have always been that you cannot have a custom rank that is already a staff rank or an official sythe rank, there are no official sythe ranks/staff ranks with purple, white, or blue partyhats.

 

99% sure the rule is based off icon not color.

A red partyhat is still the same as a partyhat icon, its still using the same ICON just not the same color.

The "icon" can be interpreted many ways

Also I'm 99% sure it used to be expressly written lol, it may of changed when the system was revamped and Matthew forgot.

 

Fair enough, either way red phats aren't allowed since the Head Middleman rank holds that icon. But then again I had the rubber chicken custom rank as well (which belongs to the Off-Topic Moderator rank) and no one really cared.

 

Yeah it's basically only partyhats and Santa hats that are a no no. I'm sure if you used the center icons for sectional mods it's not an issue

 

I'm waiting for some smart ass to make a rank with some random icon saying "Admin" above it and seeing if it gets approved.
