I knew you could ring your credit card company, but I didn't know that Jagex get fined 0.0

 

Unforchenly my credit card is pre-paid at Money Mart and it's MasterCard, so I'd have to fax the proof over to the fax number and then dial some number deal with it that way, which is annoying because either way, I wrote Jagex about it once again they typed this:

Your subscription attempts on the Mastercard ending in **** have been declined by either your bank or our own fraud protection system. This decision was taken to protect the owner of the card because one (or more) security checks have failed.

However, having checked our records, I can inform you that you will have to pay using the PayByCash option as your records have some suspicious details, which stop you from using any other payment methods for membership.

Our decision on this will not change so we would ask you not to send any more messages with regard to this matter.

Yet, my MasterCard, worked with other stuff, so they're fucked in the head because it has worked in the past revoling around Runescape, yet not now?.

 

I always fuck around with Jagex, using phone numbers that will not bill me lol, too bad I do not play Runescape and know if the trick still works.

 

well.... 1 million members is like $5 million$ in their pockets... and being that this looks like a part time thing for most of them... you wouldnt get any help...

Please take notice fo how several people have said that Jagex doesn't give a damn about talking to you, they send automated messages for everything..and as for that I'm sure they even have bots to read recov requests..in another words, she prolly isn't getting her money back from those stingy English bastards..

Runescape is a joke! They keep taking my money after I canceled my paying account. I canceled it last month and i got my credit card today and they charged me $5.00 again. They blocked the account so I canceled my grandsons membership, but they still proceed to bill me even after I canceled. Now I go back to the 'cancel membership' and they have no record of this account number. Go figure? How can they even bill me then? This is very frustrating!

 

happened to me once and I lost around twenty five dollars to them. They shouldn't have auto responded messages!

not taking their side since they're gay but, don't forget how many ppl send in stuff to customer support, they cant read each and every1
and ive been screwed over by them b4, i get hacked and get perm banned for hijacking an account (basically meaning stealing an account) and then i payed for a membership and they gave me 5 days of it when i ordered it that exact day by credit card

 

Simply do a chargeback, sure it's a bit of a hassle, but if enough people start doing it, Jagex will have to take notice.

It isn't illegal if it's just a glitch, but if you have wrote to them and they blatantly deny that it's happening, then it becomes illegal. Contact them at that e-mail address someone posted above saying you will sue if the situation doesn't get rectified. Cause enough problems and they're bound to respond.

 

I paid via paypal 4 days ago and am still not a member.
I am going to chargeback tomorrow.

 

If you were to sue and this is a on going probelm you could join lawsuits with many other ppl giving you more power and Jagex will shurly fall with all that prove. (Assuming you are telling the truth and Jagex is in the wrong) Or mabey ask if they have a fax or something were your bank could directly fax them profe of the payment. I realy dont know if that fax thing would even be possible as they probably wouldent give you the number.
