Scammed by Ace

Explanation of the trade: OSRS Account (50-70-1-70) for 30$.

How they scammed:

I purchased an account of Ace, he advised me he was the original owner and the account is hand made etc (50-70-1-70) for 30$. I purchased the account maybe 3 weeks ago.

I buy some GP the other day, and my friend says to me "where did you get that acc?" so I advised I bought it from Ace, why you ask? He tells me he made a bunch of them as level 3s to be botted on, he knew the username/password..

So I speak to Ace, he then apologises to me and said he isn't the original owner some guy called Casper is, but he trusts him. I said well now there has been my friend/Casper/You + me as the owners now when originally my plan was to sell on, so just Ace/Me/X.

So I have a long conversation with Ace and I asked for a refund, not for the whole 30$ but for simply 20M and he can keep the other 10$ to himself, I feel that was an amicable offer considering and still have the account returned to him. I also trained this account from 40-50 attack by questing/some training so originally worth more than what he sold to me for. He agreed to this and advised to "pay me tomorrow", then goes back on what he says because his friend Casper decided to tell him it wasn't botted? Now he doesn't want to refund and we have to go over the whole thing again.

He asks why only after a month do you want a refund? I said because I only just found out right now and I've just messaged you about it. If I hadn't had purchased gold of my friend, he would never have said anything, and you would never have mentioned it to me, would you?
So if he told me from day 1 I would have mentioned this. His reply was "If you told me on day 1 I would have refunded you", but now I have found out only by myself 3 weeks later, he doesn't want to refund. Casper said if he is forced by a mod to refund then he will, but only then.

Other information: I feel this could have definitely been resolved outside of Sythe but this was the way he wanted it to go which is very unfortunate..Due to the time it has taken to create this and the way he has frustrated the situation by prolonging the situation I wish to have the refund in full - 30$ or the equivalent in OSRS GP.

Who's this friend first of all? Haven't seen any proof regarding your claims. Second of all, the account was legitimately hand trained as I have already pointed out earlier. The only thing that is my fault is that I didn't mention I was the real OO but Casper or in this case even your "friend". I didn't think this would be negative since looking at reputation casperxghost is even more trusted than I am and I told you I'd take the responsabilty if something goes wrong with the account, which I highly doubt. Furthermore, this account I only listed on my website and not on sythe, because I wanted to sell it for casper to help him out. This, technically speaking, doesn't fall under Sythe's jurisdiction.

 

I can report you now for off-site scamming then. It's as if you're saying that "Hey, I'll go scam on hf - and make x2 profit" and "Legit on Sythe"??? Yo?

The buyer is from Sythe (It's like the OR operator) if one of you is from Sythe then - it's in the best interest for the site/staff to help and investigate more - just to help/protect the users from any suspicious activity (The SP which in this case, is you).

I haven't scammed anybody, have I? If the staff decides that it is a scam I will obviously refund, no doubt. If it's not however, I won't.

 

Also, since you came up with infractions: If you reply to a thread that you did not create in this forum without providing information staff did not already have, you will be infracted for spam/wasting moderator time.

 

What you're saying over here is something like "Off-site scamming is ok" - so this report is inaccurate and invalid? Is that it?

No, I'm saying that it can be dealt with outside of sythe and I offered $5 or $10 as a refund plus he can keep the account, but he wants 20m 07 as a refund and give me back the account which I don't want, so he went ahead and opened a scam report

 

I don't see why not having any acc training pictures is really an issue, its been over a month of the acc being in his possession and now suddenly its an issue.

You lied about being the OO which causes tons of problems in account sales. Due to this please refund him the full amount for the account back. As he will give you the acc back.

Yeah he refunded, after trying to argue his way out of it again.. Not trading this guy again thanks Excelont for your assistance, would check his previous account sales too probably lied on them also.
