chance of being banned for rwt, if i feel its a site that puts effort into trying to make a smooth delivery and decrease the chance of being banned on RS i will buy my gold there (for a reasonable price aswell)

I chose word of mouth. I trust the word of the people, particularly those I am closer to. I've never bought from a site, but if I did I would only deal with a site that trades safely and puts an effort into preventing a RWT ban.

 

Sites Reputations, then pricing.
I might line up 3-5 different sellers with good ratings and then chose the one with the lowest price.
One I find my "Dude"
I don't go anywhere else though.
Loyalty > Everything else.

It's a mixture of price (obviously the lower the better) and reputation. Has to be legit.

 

in the standpoint of consumers its probably trust and price, the two things you need to compete with most ide say.

 

lowest price and gold sites don't mix, more like highest price to buy and lowest price to sell.

regardless, its only active because of the lack of trust in every market, these guys hold so much trust because they have their name out there, no way they'd go bankrupt and would have to chargeback everything.

 

honestly surprised more people haven't chosen good customer service. I'll pay extra for good service and a smooth transaction

I wish I could select price and reputation, but I feel price is more important to me.

 

Price + Reliability.

 

I look for a few things.

1) Are prices COMPETITIVE with everyone else?

2) Are you taking steps to prevent RWT ban? One sight for instance highly encouraged stake trading and for those who could not stake they used a high level account so it wouldn't seem obvious you're buying from a "Lvl 3 Chinese gold seller".

3) Customer service and timeliness. If I'm in a chat I expect professionalism as that person represents the site. If it takes 10 minutes to respond and I have not been notified there will be delay then that could be a grounds for dismissal. I've also met some rude individuals, in which I wonder who in there right mind would hire them.

 

The need to verify by handing over my ID to a gold shop. That's the biggest turn off for me.

I do not mind handing those information to a trusted official 3rd party like a bank but to a gold shop? Maybe not.
