Sythe RSPS Public Beta info

As many of you know we've been working hard on the Sythe RSPS, and we are a week away from launching it to public beta.

Public beta testers must be donators and can't have a DNT rank. I have a thread posted in the Donor Lounge for any donators who are interested in participating in the beta.

We have all the newest OSRS content!

I have a feeling you guys will enjoy the RSPS, and with that said heres a short trailer of it.

00:06 - Vet'ion animations aren't sync'd properly
00:16 - Zulrah animations aren't sync'd properly, don't originate from the correct tile or have the correct travel time.
00:20 - Wrong animations.
00:22 - PvE pathfinding & clipping is shit + broken animations.
00:29 - Missing animations.
00:32 - PvP pathfinding is shit.
00:41 - Custom death animation, uwot?
00:52 - XP drop & impling despawn is 1 tick too early.
01:11 - NPC's are missing & that's just not how it works in general.
01:16 - Orbs by the mini-map shouldn't flash.
01:22 - NPC's don't move & broken animations.
01:34 - Broken animations.
01:36 - Wrong spear animations & Wrong animations for corp's attack styles.
01:42 - Wrong animation (I think, never done Cerb personally).

You should really fix things before you showcase them. Or as is more likely, stop following the snippet/tutorial copy & paste trend that makes all the RSPS's the same buggy mess.

In my mind beta refers to a lack of content & minor bugs. Bugs which influence the basics of the game should be patched long before that.

Some of them are minor differences that could go either way but a fair amount of them have a larger influence than you'd think. Custom content is whatever, but if someone has learnt to kill a boss in RS then comes to a server only to find it's completely different because the devs half-assed it then you'd be fairly disappointed. If you see Zulrah, you expect Zulrah.

Pathfinding & clipping are huge issues that effect PvP/PvE. If you click to attack someone you should run towards them, not watch your character have a spasm. Same goes for expecting a monster to hit you and instead it walks through you and attacks later than you anticipated. They wouldn't really take very long to fix with a bit of research and they'd make a world of difference. Bit concerning that it'd get ignored for this long.
